More or less, depending what BJ says. Then update your original post here with the new link. You don't have to delete the scarlett one though; if you have enough soundcloud minutes for both, it might be interesting to try to hear how it compares to TDR (whose Kotelnikov is a pretty solid choice IMHO).

Cool track, BTW. 8)

here is the new version. now, it is without the FF Red compressor. It was on the kick, I have found that it is ok without any compression on it. :-)

I downloaded and listened to both versions, just out of curiosity. Impressive kick, for no compression! It seems equal in both versions. Actually the other elements seem a tad louder in the 1st version. Is that possible, or am I tricking myself? If it's true, then the new one has (IMHO) a slightly better balance of kick vs everything else.

Really a nice track, ecset!
I had to giggle when the "digital hurling" comes, haha, but yeah... very dense, very fat, juicy high-energy for sure! Love the triplet switch, too! :tu:
Welcome to the OSC gang! 8-)

i just remove the kick compressor. but of course it can be different due to the multiband compressor, limiter, etc. on the master track. they can behave different on the overall sound, mainly because of the lower frequencies I think. thanx for listening again! ;-)

Is there a good free multiband compressor out there?

No! At least not that I've found. :) Freeverb wind compressor seemed like it might do with enough tweaking...

ReaXcomp is the only one i tried on this list & i like it

Oh yeah, forgot about that one, it's definitely good... Windows only, though. I've been on a Mac so long I just skip over the ones that aren't cross-platform these days. A shame considering Reaper itself works on Mac...

You might want to have a look at Nova-67P. It's an equalizer, but combined with a compressor. I still have to figure out exactly how to deal with it, but it's fascinating for sure!

Good point. I don't quite understand it still, but it does seem to have some multiband properties. I've been using that (Nova67P) + TDR Kotenlikov + Limiter No6 as my OSC mastering chain for a while with very good results. I'd highly recommend those 3 plugs.

That's funny,i got Nova67P + TDR Feedback + Limiter No6 on my master at the moment

Part of me feels that, in these pure-synth projects, we should be able to control frequencies and whatnot at the source, rather than relying on multi-band dynamics on the master buss. :borg: However, with 30+ instances (heck 4+), there are just too many interactions to pin down in the time available. That's why I added A1StereoControl (just the Safe Bass feature) to my chain this month and now am TOTALLY going to add this Nova67P next month. :hyper: Any time-saver is a win! Incidentally, if we're comparing master chains, mine's now A1StereoControl + Scope + Spectrum + MJUC (previously TDR Kotelnikov) + Limiter No6 + DAW Limiter. I like the idea of each plugin doing a small amount of work. Although, I'm also lazy, so my pre-OSC master "chain" of just Classic Master Limiter pushing 10db still has its appeal. :clown:

Hehe, how funny, I made my own mux (MuLab is my DAW) for the stereo control with a frequency threshold to pull mono on bass. :)

I like to run the bass through a mono filter, then invert one of the channels, then run through another mono filter. Makes your track sound HUGE!
