MiniBrute analog synth bricked by USB update.....

Its hard to believe, but whilst trying to update the firmware (with Arturia own update software) the download was interrupted and the synth froze.

Quick Google and it turns out this has happened top a lot of people - you arte supposed to hold the octave buttons down to go to recovery mode and then load the firmware....but USB isn't being recognised so I cant load the firmware...

3 month old dead analogue synth from a simple firmware update! I contacted Arturia support, haven't heard anything for 4 days...so I am just looking at a dead synth....surely there must be some way to get the firmware back on!? (systex via midiports)

ok, there is several possibilities fo restore the Firmware:
1/ as you did, press octave up and down at then same time when rebooting the unit.
2/ the Technote here:

Thanks for getting back to me- still nothing from my support ticket FYI, so I truly appreciate you trying to help.

I have tried this about 100 times (keep hoping!) but when I click OK on the 'editing is disabled' on the software nothing happens- just the blank minibrute not connect screen (no option to load anything, just a black picture of the mini with a not connected symbol and a red light graphic top right)

I am using 1.0.3.2

Your current software version 1.0.3.2 can't be reset by this process, you have to install the old firmware and use the old software loader

I downloaded the old firmware (1.0.2.1) and it allowed me to install - I am going to see if I can now go from that to 1.0.3.2
