Cheers guys,
@aMUSEd - Heya, yep you are correct - it's a few collections of our sounds and then some all cherry picked from our new DAW launch that's still in dev. We did things this way for two reasons:
1. I've been putting together sample collections for years, the amount of time it takes to first create the sounds (or buy them), arrange them into kits that make sense, span/romp them correctly per kit, get a final feel that simulates the real thing is a steep task for most. This enables people to simply have a collection on standby that is ready to use. Re the effects, you can always add your own effects chain to them, but these are processed pretty nicely already and yes the onboard effects are limited.
2. I'm sitting on 4K new sounds for the DAW, and this is my way of slowly releasing a few of the collections in advance - once the DAW launches, we'll be releasing everything as .wav files with the install and will probably include the .wav's per VSTi then as well. Don't worry I get it, and you're right, most ppl just want to dump files into their EXS/sampler and customize their banks, and soon you'll be able to but for now a low cost well rounded sneak peak collection through a lightweight plugin is the route we chose.
@Bob Bobwood - Thanks for the like - yeah the one at the top of the website itself is what I'd like you guys to click. We don't have an official 'group', those are all left over affiliate campaigns I assume but once we come back with our DAW we'll have to launch an official one, just buying time as we juggle a lot right now. Thank you again.
Going to wait until there is 10+ ppl and do these all at once as per usual
.
Glad to get some critiques I know many here don't fuss with sample based anything so those that like just loading and playing right away without much tweaking getting in the way of laying your bones of the track down - this will suit you best.

Like Norbz said above, some of us don't like sorting through our sample collections. I've got a stupid amount of samples, collected over the past ten years, and these days I hardly go back to them at all. Literally the only ones I use these days are a few percussion samples -- a couple of big drums, some wind chimes, some bamboo hits. Everything else is an actual instrument or one of, say, a half-dozen VSTIs (Alchemy, AAS Player, Synthmaster Player, Korg M1, Addictive Drums 2, TyrellN6).
And, since I got it from DubTurbo, the VoxNBeatBox.

Was all set to order but Click Bank scared me away.
If every KVR member wrote one review a year we'd have 1340 reviews each day!

Are there still some free copies available? - just a question. If not, I'll buy it in few hours for my friend (PC game music composer).
I sent a PM after 1st post in this topic, my PM has been read, but that's all.

As i read it you don't even need to PM just to leave a comment here. So i did.
Giving out 10 copies this time to the first 10 ppl that respond.
PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR OS/BIT (i.e. PC 32x) and I'll PM you your copy.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

i don´t like Companys which sells 32bit / 64Bit and Mac Format separately
i also don´t like Instruments which are made with Maize Sampler they takes to much space on my main SSD Drive
it does not matter how good the Instruments are or sounds

Last night after aMUSEds' second post, I wrote a reply and was about to post it when I noticed Norbz had posted again. I didn't read that post but thought I had posted and just shut down. I'm in an emotional state at the moment and not firing on all cylinders.
[Edit: But I now see I never posted it. End of Edit]
Anyway, I said something like this...............
I hear you aMUSEd, I just like the way Norbz is going about things. Take a look further into what is happening with dubturbo and you'll find someone who had an idea that soared almost beyond control. Then he sits down and thinks it through, probably takes some advice, reaches some sort of clarity and sets out to polish things up while maintaining control and quality over his vision.
It's an all encompassing strategy. There's product in a DAW, plugins and samples and then there's commerce.
It's not dressed up or hidden. It might not be of much interest to many members or other visitors to KVR, but perhaps there is still a sizeable number who will find something worth investigating.
Though I suspect most users of dubturbo stuff will be into genres that are totally alien to me, there is just something about the way Norbz is doing things that I kinda like....
Check this out and stick with it past the mask - which is only 18 seconds anyway, there's even a tip of the hat to past KVR forums threads for helping him reassess things in there;

+1 Here's another interesting video on the evolution of his vision:bob bobwood wrote: Though I suspect most users of dubturbo stuff will be into genres that are totally alien to me, there is just something about the way Norbz is doing things that I kinda like....

So, either Norbz is a just a stellar marketing guy (which seems obvious) and v4 is promise-ware...or the next version is going to be pretty cool. I'm leaning toward the latter myself >>
I just hope that they port current features like the chording tool, and include Rewire (x64)...and I would prefer a PayPal purchase option too.

Really heartfelt reading through these posts guys thank you kindly
.
I just woke, everyone above me here and in my PM's will get a copy of this in the next xx min, and I'll leave room for 3 more free copies to ppl after this post.
1. ClickBank is nothing more than a payment processor - their inventory/products may be offputting however their actual payment processing is ONE BIG PAYPAL ACCOUNT. Yep, when you pay through CB, you're actually paying through PayPal. Which is why all CB vendors also have to obey the 60 day refund policy so it's another layer of protection for you.
2. I've done 70K transactions with them, I've never had a problem nor has any customer ever had a problem.
3. Having said all that - I still want you to have a copy, please PM me your OS/BIT I'll hook you up.
Also Not really sure how selling separate installers for each OS is a bad thing but I'd love to hear what you mean (you'd rather a universal installer? Or all versions/installers come with one purchase? or?). Sound/sample quality may not be important for you however that's what separates us from many and another reason why ppl buy dubturbo (3K sounds for $40 that you can use in other gear)
.
reading that back to myself was trippy - when dubturbo4 launches (if it doesn't kill me first), I'm going to re-read your post to myself a few times. This transitionary phase and wait is bit of a battle however I'm ok with the resistance and confusion until we launch - am actually REALLY pleased that my efforts to make right are starting to get noticed, so thank you again.
Promise-ware, though I've never heard it coined as a term like that - I could never live with myself just promising a tool forever in hopes of ppl buying my other tools. Eventually it would all just backfire I think. The biggest hurdle so far has been recruiting talent that thinks they can take on a DAW build and then fall short xx% of the way in and I have to start over. Confident with my current team however we're a good 6-8months away from an alpha/beta so in that time I'll be doing more and more of these VSTi's/AU's and recruiting more dev's for our rollout.
Ok I have a lot of PM'ing to do - those that responded - AtmosFire plugin incoming!!

Heya, I understand - however would like to take two seconds to explain a few things:Hewitt Huntwork wrote:Was all set to order but Click Bank scared me away.

Hi DrumAddict, thanks for the feedback. I'd like to hear what romplers/sample based instruments you DO like and how they differ re size/methodology? We're not necessarily any different than having a .wav file library imported into your sampler, which would take up the same/more space on your machine.DrumAddict wrote:i don´t like Companys which sells 32bit / 64Bit and Mac Format separately
