EJo - their is a certain amount of intention in the 'mono'-ness of the sounds and the lo-fi; I think any more effects would probably clutter the stage and things would start to get lost. This is also why the vocal is kept quite dry and minimal (+ Sandy's voice sounds much better 'natural'). Flatness however could be the result of over-compression in places. Will check.

but many thanks for the kinds words - I'll pass them onto Sandy too (make her blush a bit).bucodi - yeh, I'm not that big a fan of extreme panning either, it was used to put a bit of movement into the sound-stage (everything was sounding a bit static) but I may try and limit it a bit.
