Live tracks, waddayamean, what kind of DAW makes tracks by themselves?

Sounds liek Kenny G had a lot of backing from Yamaha (DX7 et al) doing that track, so I doubt it would be very hard to replicate.

...gentlemen, are we really arguing about what is 'real' music like 14 year olds?

I like Brittney Spears, there I said it :)

Don't worry too much about it, toys are big business ;)

I don't even know if I am 14 years old :hihi:

Belgium got so many great artists already, so why look elsewhere? ;)

Front 242, Telex, R&S label, etc etc :tu:

The Future Music #294 Magazine reviewed FL Studio 12. It gave FLS the thumbs up. The alternative to FLS given were Traktion, Reason and Garageband. I would have preferred they listed Studio One, Sonar and Reaper. Perhaps Cubase and Live could also be included.

Big thank you on my part for the improvements in 12.1 - they've alleviated a lot of the issues that were stopping me from upgrading to FL 12 on the computer I use to make music. I installed it on another PC because the criticism of things like the lack of mixer contrast and track colouring made me wary, and I wholeheartedly agreed that they needed changing.

Aside from the return of the "more" option and the improved mixer visuals, I really like the ability to set the mixer track from the channel rack. I didn't realise how much I wanted this feature until I saw the video :)

------

I have an unrelated question/request (can post to the IL forums if you like) that I had with FL 11 and presumably still exists in FL 12. I have two computers, one with 2 monitors attached, and one with only one monitor. When I open projects saved on the two monitor computer, the FL and plugins' window position remains unchanged, meaning that whatever windows were on the second monitor are no longer accessible on the computer with only one monitor. Is there any way to easily move these windows on-screen? At the moment I have to detach the FL window and resize it until I see the other windows. I wonder if it wouldn't make sense to have the option to move windows that are off screen (i.e. where the top left X/Y position is outside the FL window) into the FL window all at once.

I hope that makes sense :)

Maybe FL Studio has some kind of screensets functionality? You know, where you can set different screen element layouts and switch between them. This would make it easy for you: just program one set to one monitor layout and another one to two monitors layout and switch between them at will.

Excellent review!

I am rather new to FLS and can see that it is
a progressive energetic developer.

Dunno if that is proof, any user want a rock solid version, releasing update and patches to fix, means times must be spent installing. The less updates the better if you ask me.

But with Windows 10 out, they needed to make sure it works in that.
