Anyone know where I can find some good quality machine samples? Things like hydraulic lifts, factory machines, nailguns, etc?

Try Hollywood Edge, they do all the best sfx libraries. There is a new one called Evil FX or something like, which features LOADS of machine samples. It also has all of the creature fx from the Resident Evil movie!

One CD i can recommand, it's called :
"Industry and civil engineering" By Jean-Paul Bataille
(released in 1994 / Auvidis distribution )
It should fit for much of your needs, ...if you don't mind to create your own patches !
Good luck !
