After succumbing to ACE, Tyrell N6, Zebra 2 and Bazille, I finally bit the Diva bullet. I have to admit that it sounds great.

So now I know what I'll be doing for the next couple of months.

U-he, my wallet hates you.

I want to get that one soon also. I have tried the demo version a couple times over the years, and it sounds great.

the only vsti that soiunds like my analogue synths.
It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

Ingo's Jupiter presets on Diva convinced me not to buy the Arturia version :tu: .

Diva is just exquisite, the sound is freaky great, the presets are often amazing, programming is hella fun. Whenever I think about recording a lead, Diva comes to mind first every time.

A terrific synth, and to me easily up there with Bazille as the best from U-he (keep in mind, I'm not much of a Zebra fan).

All in my opinion of course.
Ha ha suck it!

The only thing I hate about Diva is that it isn't hardware.

The only thing I hate about Diva is that it is unusable in Divine mode and just barely usable in the other modes. (This isn't u-he's fault; I have an ancient computer.)

yup, DIVA she looks and sounds good, but shes a gold digger after all your (cpu) resources.

You can get Akai Advance or Panorama Nektar for that now.

I have push and even with the screen DIva is one of the most difficult VSTi to map, simply because of the different set of parameters for oscilators and filters.

So no, using controllers is far from a hardware experience. I have thought of building a HW controller as those in Synthproject but it's quite expensive.

I just love the sound of it so much that I would love to have it as hardware. It will blow all VA's and man analogs out of the water.

And there's also ZebraHZ, which combines Zebra2's digital oscillators with Diva's analog filters. Pretty awesome, I must say. :)

I tried the Demo recently and Divine Mode even makes my brand new i7 processer and 32GB RAM computer struggle! Why is Diva such a CPU killer?? I can run anything else (at once :-D )

My i7 mac doesn't moan too much with Diva in divine.
Did you enable "multicore"? Setting is usually off by default.

I have it all mapped to Kore knobs - apart from a few unmappable (but not used for performance) params and the annoying way the detune maps I found it mostly mapped OK - the nice thing is most of the filter params stay the same when you switch filter models which reduces the amount of user page switching enormously - the same goes for about 80% of the OSC params.

Another thing to keep in mind too is that with most hardware controllers you can repeat controls on different pages so with Nektar or automap for example, you might want to create a different page for each osc section so that you can clearly see which controls are used. There really aren't that many controls so having different osc model pages isn't so bad really on a good controller.

The cool thing about the Nektar plug-in map for Diva, is the mapping is dynamic. So when you change oscillator or filter modes, the parameters mapped to the oscillator and filter pages change. This way, you always see the controls which are relevant to each mode. This dynamic mapping was also done for the envelope and effect pages. It makes it very easier to understand which parameters apply to each mode and also reduces the amount of pages you need to navigate. :-)
