I have mostly bypassed the mobile era, by staying on the PC and other nets.
I do have a mobile now and I am totally in shock by the level of control that my Samsung Phone, and Android exerts over my information.
Is there alternative that as a user I may have?
I have tried to directly download .apk files (iex. coursera) but the level of control Google, bing or the horrid marketing ghost sites trying to grab my actions is just... staggering.
Thanks to Noscript that I have some clue of what is going on while i surf this... totally BIG-BROTHERED realm.
It just feels totally discusting, users at the mercy (and being bite and eaten) of what is behind (multi-sites) every click and try.
In sum I have so far failed into:
-Accessing most of my phone online features with a Yahoo.com or Outlook.com account... every step forces me to create a Gmail.com account (that I am not going to do).
-Joining whatsapp wthout a gmail account
-finding and installing apps (without using Google Play store, hence using a Gmail account).

I am coming to the conclusion that mobile users are forced to surrender either to Google, Apple or Microsoft, and doing so, totally surrender to them about; controlling our passwords, what we download and activate, configurations, usage, etc. All this added to the level of control the telecommunication firms already exert on us.

I am actually arriving to the conclusion that the "mobile first", "Everything on the Cloud", IoT and the like are just dumber, bigger NOWADAYs marketing (and the hollow minds behind) plots acting on full unrestricted display, and trying to grab a piece of the future.

I am yet to see actions based on people, communities or common interests speakers (EU?) having a say or even being respected the least in those forced terms.

So far I had blamed lazy and egoistical attitudes (usually prevalent in USA media) of such outcomes, but the MOBILE WORLD i am just discovering, is far worst than that.
Is there any coherent response or alternative to such stupidity yet?

Yes. Use your mobile as a phone calling device.
You NEED apps?! Well, get in on the premises, be paranoid, or not.

Thank you for the replies.
And yes, it does feel more earthly lately, if we agree in what that means...

Unexpectedly i was able to log in into my phone... ecosystem, that is, create a google account for it, without a gmail account!
Apparently it has been possible to do that a few years now, though the way is far from being promoted, which seems to be precisely the way to conduct things in these times: Just generally lead the herds to the cliff and most will fall, is the moto.
That way they always resort to the argument that the options where there and such.

///True associativity seems to be a key to defend users rights, though since "social media" had been years already marked at their agenda, there is no surprise these channels have also received Control & Kaos attention and actions.
