Good luck with the 'flat' look interface. Do any of these companies even know why they have made things 'flat'? I hate it with a passion.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

It's touch screen design.

On VSTs absolutely love it, but I hate skeuomorphism with passion.

There is definitely an Ableton-esque look to the interface.

The intriguing part is the ability to load plugins. Without that, it just appears to be some kind of a sampler with slicing capability. But why would it need to load plugins? Either to use third party effects inside it, or for sampling of other instruments.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Nice! I love granular synthesis!

PLEASE provide drag and drop from DAWs like Cubase and S1!

Highlife has drag and drop that works beautifully, I'd be surprised if bliss did not.

Being that it's sampler, it has my eye. But I may forget about it soon, as I don't know anything about what this is. Not a fan of teasers. Just tell us what the product is and when it's going to be released so we can get our funds ready. Otherwise any funds I have will most likely go elsewhere.

I love it! :tu: Great job George!

And actually I like the track. Bring on the smurf vocals! :phones:

Skeumorphic designs work perfectly well with touchscreens...
'Flat' design is bad design, plain and simple. I'll be so glad when this 'trend' is over. Companies don't even know why they do it. The same goes for Microsoft's 'Ribbon', look at Foxit Reader, they adopted the 'Ribbon' for no good reason, and ruined the interface of their own application.

Highlife do not allow drag n drop inside cubase. Sadely.

I like flat designs and it's not so much a trend but a move towards functionality over aesthetics which for me is far more important. The biggest benefits... Resizable UI. I don't know that this is an option for Bliss but I hope it is.

The biggest issue I see for plugin development where the UI is concerned is the extreme difference in screen resolution from one user to the next. There is no standard and the companies that have accommodated users with resizable graphic based UIs like FXpansion's DCAM synth squad and U-he products are just not as flexible as dragging to resize.

But otherwise you are right that with skeumorphic vs flat, there is no difference in touchscreen usability.
