That is the right way to install the "update", do not uninstall, just install update over prior version

Wow do I regret installing this update. First, the gui is totally black now, and once engaged it immediately freezes Cubase until I have to manually shut it down.
So, yet another problem with Synthmaster...this is getting very frustrating. I don't experience this with Waldorf, uhe, Sylenth, PPG. Ever. It is the most Cubase unfriendly synth I've ever used. And it's a horrible shame, as I really, really like this synth as a synth. It sure is a lot of trouble, not quite East West level, but close.

I'm astounded. Installing the update completely ruined my workflow. I added the updated Synthmaster to my project and now I can't even open it. Opening new projects in order to test the update out yielded again a black Synthmaster gui (as in "blank black") and again a Cubase freeze of epic proportions.
I know this isn't standard procedure, but I'm sorely tempted to do like I did with the similarly unusable Air's the Riser and ask for a refund. This synth is actually effecting my work in a very bad way, I'm hoping it hasn't completely ruined the project mentioned above. Let's hope there's a pre-Synthmaster backup.
I'd have to say I'm pretty unsatisfied and angry.

I am sorry to hear about your issue, I once again tested the update, and it DOES work.Apostate wrote:I'm astounded. Installing the update completely ruined my workflow. Are you on Mac or Windows?
To help you I have already fixed the issue with WAV files containing labels, those were not read correctly by SynthMaster. Could you please temporarily delete your Documents/SynthMaster folder and run Cubase again ?
SynthMaster does not have an issue with Cubase, we have at least hundreds (if not thousands) of users running Cubase, including our sound designers!
Regarding refunds, our refund policy is clearly stated at http://www.synthmaster.com/purchase.aspx , if you have an issue you report it to us and we have 7 business days to fix it.

I have deleted the documents folder. Cubase froze up completely, I had to manually shut it down...never a good thing. So, I uninstalled and reinstalled Synthmaster. It completely froze up Cubase again, in fact my project is completely useless now, and I've been working on it for months.
All respect, but this has cost me hours upon hours of time over the past seven months, and the price I paid for this comes nowhere near compensating me for that time. I have never, ever had such issues with any of my other synths, and I own dozens. I'm going to have to contact the Better Business Bureau, this is unacceptable. I'm gathering up the logs for my lawyer.
It's a shame, as when Synthmaster did work, it was terrific.

You don't have backups or some prior versions? At any rate, you can uninstall SynthMaster, THEN open your project and delete the SynthMaster tracks, save it, and you're fineApostate wrote:in fact my project is completely useless now, and I've been working on it for months.

If you want us to resolve your issue please change your attitude first. Why this threatening language ?
We're here to help you guys not fight with you. and I have been trying to help you and will still do that.
If the software works on my test system it is supposed to work on other systems as well, as long as it is installed as we instruct.

Cause he is angry Bulent..... Just let him calm down please.
Also as you should know because it works on one system doesn't mean it works on all systems... that software development 101
Apostate, so you know, apart from minor issues, I don't have your issues either on Cubase on Mac or Nuendo on PC.
I know you are probably very pissed right now... my suggestion? remove it temporarily from your vst folder and when you are less upset maybe help Bulent in fixing it.
my 2 cents

Bulent, I tried everything and Cubase is still freezing, this really sucks. And I did say things out of anger, which I apologize for.

I honestly don't know what the problem is, and to be totally forthright, I'd MUCH rather have a working Synthmaster than any money back. Synthmaster is a freaky great bargain...when it's running.
Maybe my computer just doesn't like it. In any event, it stopped working
I apologize again for saying angry things Bulent, anger doesn't solve anything. I feel really bad about how I handled this.

The problem started when I downloaded the update .3. I downloaded it from here: https://www.kv331audio.com/downloads.aspxkv331 wrote:It ik OK I understand you now let us get back to understanding the root cause.
When I uninstalled the above update and reinstalled Synthmaster, I did so after doing the usual sign in and serial number route. I'm wondering now if I did the right thing installing from the former in the first place, perhaps I should have signed in from the very beginning.

Is your system 32bit or 64bit ?Apostate wrote:The problem started when I downloaded the update .3. I downloaded it from here: https://www.kv331audio.com/downloads.aspxkv331 wrote:It ik OK I understand you now let us get back to understanding the root cause.

I see that you first downloaded 32bit full setup, then downloaded and installed 64bit update over it. I am confused here ? I suspect that Cubase is displaying a popup window to you but that window is not on top so you though Cubase froze.
I would recommend a full install, downloaded at the following links:
Windows 32bit version: http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadfile.aspx?fileId=42 (by default it is installed under c:\program files (x86)\vstplugins\kv331 audio)
Windows 64bit version: http://www.synthmaster.com/downloadfile.aspx?fileId=48 (by default it is installed under c:\program files\vstplugins\kv331 audio)
