jbraner - have you adjusted the "Trim" control in order to get the input to a reasonable level? Try dialing that back.

+1 I wanted to say the same

Because I assumed you'd want 100% of the signal to go through the tube emulation. You're not really doing "saturation" when you're doing a 10-20% "wet" signal - are you?

Technically no. It's hard to explain it simply... the mix knob would be a simple volume control, with the same sound going into the thing, and the same sound coming out, just at reduced volume. The distortion is just reduced like that, but it's not the same as lowering the input gain.

Post

hi camsr,
Doesn't "mix" mean the mixture of dry and wet? If you lower the mix level - aren't you just lowering the "wet" signal, relative to the "dry"?
Or have I got that wrong?

I'm not trying to be a nuisance - I'm just trying to figure out why my ride cymbal had a compressor compressing the hell out of it... ;-)

Yes that's how it works. I was refering to the "wet" signal going through the process. Saturation usually implies sensitivity to input gain.

After been blown away by the MJUC, I just purchased this. Very talented dev who deserves to be supported.

I love MJUC so much. But, is this SDRR gem plugin going to be updated? To allow resizing, etc..

Post

I'm pretty sure Tony said he would be updating most of his plugins to the new framework. SDRR is still my most used Klanghelm product (and one of my most used plugins) so I'm really looking forward to any improvements to the plugin.

Oh, that's nice to hear. Thank you.

thanks bmanic.
all my plugins will be ported to the new framework in the coming months. Resizing will only be available in VUMT, SDRR and DC8C, though. Currently I am still working on the VUMT overhaul. I still need a few weeks before it's ready to enter beta stage. SDRR will be updated next, after VUMT 2.0 is released.

When is the new VUMT Out?
Orion Platinum, Muzys 2

It's still in beta, release got massively postponed due to various reasons.

Take the Blizzard route: It's out once it's out.
