To be heads and shoulders above the slate one (which is already in my subscription) well it would have to be out of this world.
For me it absolutely is - I have NO experience with Slate though - everything about them so doesn't turn me on.

I bought DC8C purely from the ravings of this forum and never used it once in a mix - and i had to pay to offload it. No, i don't care if the plugin cost 2 euros to buy, i simply do not support no demo and no refund policy - simple as that - so that's off the list. Please don't try talk me into it unless you are willing to re imburse the 24 euros if i don't like it ;)
Your choice, your loss - MJUC is very very different from DC8C though - it's really a whole lot easier to dial in something that's apporpriate and sounds great, no matter what's the program material - in fact it's quite difficult to make it sound bad.

Re EDM/ aggressive POP:

the tracks I work with almost exlusively consist of acoustic and electro-acoustic recordings and besides V³ MJUC is by far the best thing that ever happened to my mixes.
what's V3?

To be heads and shoulders above the slate one (which is already in my subscription) well it would have to be out of this world. Even for the little price ($40 in my currency and an intro offer), why spend the money if i don't feel it beats the slate? We shall see with some head to heads.

Edit. Oh once again there is no demo of the full thing.. same with his other plugins, and then there is no refund policy and he wants 5 euros to transfer.. I bought DC8C purely from the ravings of this forum and never used it once in a mix - and i had to pay to offload it. as far as my edm is concerned, nothing will ever replace the glue for me for that. No point in even trying to persuade me as it won't happen. it's automatically on master bus of any song i do with a 4/4 kick drum (or the ik ssl which is my equal favourite).
there are now a few youtube videos (not to mention the most amazing love-fest) from various users at GS

https://www.gearslutz.com/board/new-pro ... eased.html

sold something yesterday in marketplace that will fund my mjuc purchase :hyper:

it really doesn't matter about vids and other user's opinion as when i buy something it is only mine and how it sounds on my music that matters. I also lost the money for sonimus satson which i have never used once and they won't allow a transfer (cause vcc is simply way better) - once again just money gone into thin air. With audiodamage who DO offer a 30 day refund, they just never answered my emails about tattoo asking for one - so i gave up.

No demo - no purchase - simple as that. No exceptions. I already lost too much money because i took other's opinions on board and trusted developers to refund.

I have to test cpu load/automation/sound quality on various mixes of mine - and of course reliability - this is best all discovered with a demo rather than harassing a developer afterwards if something is not right. I don't understand a "no demo" policy and i never, ever will.
though i'd prefer tony get more support, it is kinda good that not everyone buys it; i mean, if everyone owns the cool toys, they tend to be less, erm...cool 8)

so, thanks :tu:

Why should I not say it? What's rude about it? His name is all over his company and the products he didn't even code and his face is all over everything that bears his name, all over every ridiculous hype promo video he makes - it's part of what they sell - so why should I not be allowed to state that this kind of personality cult disgusts me? I want to buy plugins, not names and faces - HUGE turn off! Imo they - and the customers who fall for this kind of crap - are immature - not me who shys from it. I'm not alone with that kind of sentiment b.t.w. ;-)

No idea how the NI sounds - never tried it - NI is not the kind of company that I would ever use any product of. ;-)

Yes, I guess so - just as with Slate - but I have my limits.

other, different reasons in the case of NI - amongst them being what they did to some of their smaller competition...

In my not so humble opinion,I think that Klanghelm's MJUC is the best Vari Mu plugin on the planet...

So there !

I have tried most of what is on offer and I own a few of them, but MJUC is the winner by far...

Not to mention that it offers three variations on the Vari Mu theme and all of them are just wonderful...

I got to use the hardware back in the day - especially a Fairchild 670 and a Manley Vari Mu,so I do have some idea of what the genuine articles sound like and how they behave...

We are so spoilt for choices these days- which can be a distraction for the gear sluts - but we are also very fortunate that much is what is on offer now are high quality emulations of the hardware and the emulations are getting so,so close...

I prefer to work in the box these days,so I feel truly blessed that there are plugins like MJUC available that can get us close to the hardware vibe, but with considerably more advantages than dealing with the actual hardware itself...

So for anybody out there sitting on the fence,or complaining that there isn't a demo available - get you head out of your arse and just buy a copy of MJUC...

It's the cost of a few pizzas, but it is much more tasty and I promise you that it will never ever go stale
No auto tune...
