Has anyone tried Mainstage, Soundflower and (Insert host name here)?

I don't really want to pay for Logic X (I have Logic 9, Live 9, PT12, and more). If this is included in Mainstage, I'm just wondering if it is problematic in using Soundflower for routing from Mainstage.

Now you are telling people to shut their mouth.

I so no reason to censor someone especially when you don't even know what they were aware of. Why presume anything?
If you don't want anybody to presume something, don't imply anything either.

I'm happy that it is available, but you gotta realize that there is a lot of Windows users who feel shortchanged right now.
Nobody implied anything. They just weren't specific. You presumed something and ran with it. No one helped you.

OK, point taken
Luftrum wrote:No I did not. I was just as surprised as you. But I know the spectral morphing feature since waaaay back when I was in an A2 beta for Camel Audio. The spectral morphing feature has been great ever since, it still is. I did not know anything else.
OK, that clears it up.

I'm sorry for the hassle.

Just feel a bit left out now :(

So if you move the LogicX folder with the Alchemy samples to an external and create an Alias, you're ready to go. The sample folder for sample content from version 1 is located automatically as the sample paths are stored in the old presets. That's easy weasy...

Library (not user)/Application Support/Logic/Alchemy Samples

(Out off topic suddenly !), ...wow, Alchemy is back, what a great new !!

:hyper:

Question. someone seemed to have said that some resynthesis engines has been improved (apart from spectral morphing) ...is it true ?

dang, this is a pain... time to look into copperlan again.

what is the minimum mac that this will run on? i'm not giving up live, but i might be willing to run an older mac mini off to the side...

Or you can just select Sound Library from the tabs for genre or articulation (to replace the useless genres)

There are 4 quality settings though so you can work in draft and just render in best quality

I guess it was stupid to engage in any hope that Alchemy would be available for Windows/Other Mac DAWs again, *sigh.* Excited to use it with Logic though!

You are exactly the kind of potential customer that they went out fishing for when they corrupted Ben's morals with heaps of money...

wouldn't have thought this sort of shit still works but obviously I am totally deluded.

Very interesting, might have to upgrade to X. At least Apple didn't pull a sly one and release a new version XI for it.

Let's say naive - Apple sells hardware - the software for them is just a way to lure you in - when they bought Emagic, it already was the same kind of dirty trick.

i suspect that quite a few people could end up going down this route, so maybe you'll get some discussion on this
