But it doesn't affect all old patches, only some, I haven't found the culprit yet.Sampleconstruct wrote:After testing some old patches in the new version the conclusion is: they sound all wrong, the saved snapshots sound nothing like they're supposed to, all old sounds need to be re-programmed in order to use them in Alchemy 2. Obviously many parameter assignments have been changed, especially filter resonance levels. So this is similar to the incompatibility from Iris 1 -> Iris 2.
Alchemy available in logic now

no polyAT any more ... thats a step backwards
and they have not taken the opportunity to include either MPE or Midi mono mode.

That's surprising. Luftrum was going on about how much improved the new spectral resynthesis is.Sampleconstruct wrote:So after importing numerous samples into additive and spectral mode I have to say, soundwise, nothing has improved, resynthesizing more complex samples still results in spectral blurry chaos which does not really sound good at all, what have they been improving/updating all these years?

Wasn't he orgasming about the spectral morphing instead?Echoes in the Attic wrote:That's surprising. What is the difference between spectral morphing and spectral re-synthesis ?

BTW, it is interesting that ZenPunkHippy should know so much about spectral synthesis back in 2013, probably got homework from Ben

Very happy for you all.
But very sad and sincerely angry.
I'm an Alchemy user on Win.
...and oh...
I was a Logic user on Win too..(with dongle and everything..)
That said
on Camel Audio and Emagic to have sold all to Apple and left us Win customers with nothing.
I guess spectral morphing will be an OSX privilege?

Be warned though, it might say spectral morphing on the Twist tin, but it is not the best sounding synth I have heard...

What i really need is to morph between spectral data of sample i load.
There are options, some custom external in Max, afair VirSyn Cube and some spectral plugin that i don't remember now but was out pretty recently. Some months ago.

That's a pain, given that Alchemy was one of the synths that had a readymade setup for the Eigenharp.thetechnobear wrote:no polyAT any more ... thats a step backwards![]()
