You need to install the iLok licence manager, but you don't need to buy an iLok stick anymore.

UVI allows that you can install a bought licence on three different computers.

No offense taken.

What is this iLok license manager that I have to install. Will it always sit in the background and eat up RAM? Is it paid?

Licence manager is free to download. The manager itself doesn't sit in the background always (you only open it when you want to authorize something for your computer).

Thanks for the explanation. So it seems not different from NI's Service Center. That much I can tolerate. I just hate crapware that eats up my resources and tries to constantly update itself.

Ok, iLok seems innocent. I got a free account and I'm not sure if the application installed any crap on my computer but at least it doesn't stay active in RAM it seems. I'm able to demo Sparkverb now.

This verb is over the top - some nice deals going right now (6/2014) on the Lexicon stuff... a bit more affordable and definitely "hit" tested and approved!

Hmm, with max Size amount ? It seems It must be longer (or I am mistaken, it was a long time)

Hi c_voltage,
50 seconds with the max Room Size value.
Cheers,

I haven't used ours in awhile, but I'm pretty sure you can get even more than that by cranking the high and/or low decay multipliers... also, raising the low and/or lowering the high crossover points.

Though even with the latter settings at maximum, I seem to remember there being a "hole" in the midrange.

I believe Sparkverb's high decay multiplier setting going to greater than one is a unique feature, and one of the factors that led to our purchase.

Thanks for reply, yes, this is it.

For just in case, my feature request (by memory of the past tests, I think that the situation has not changed):

1) Add automation fow X-Y preset morfing screen. (if I am not mistaken only this two parameters not automatable in the sparkverb).
2) Add an "active signal flow" (or I do not know what to call it) mode for Freeze, ie that during Freeze enabled, signal can be broadcast fully, accumulating in an endless texture until the total chaos. At the time of my testing, as I remember, it was possible to pass only a some high-frequency spectrum (during Freeze). I'm not saying that it's wrong, it is also interesting approach, but would like to have also mentioned possibility, by optional.

Here is a quick and dirty video demo demonstrating max reverb time and freeze in Spark Reverb.
