Tonight after a great afternoon session with eXT 1.28 beta...i was dreaming...eXT to go in the history of live-electronic-music..just as max_msp
(eXT+max/msp =
So i've though about more ideas.
Audio Part to become a full featured Audio Buffer.
1. Record audio in the buffer on-the fly
2. Play recorded material or just a loaded audiofile
3. Record overdub and replace
4. Play foreward or reverse
5. Loop points modulable (maybe coarse and fine regulations to allow even glitchy looping techniques)
6. When in record-overdub-mode have the feature to adapt (via lenght multiply or divide or even indipendent timestrech/pitchshifting or traditional pitchshifting a la sampler) the lenght of prerecorded material to the lenght of the new recorded audio stream (oberheim echoplex or the linux-based sooperlooper used to do this)
7. Scrub function to do scratch-like things or strange loop manipulation (imagine to modulate it via
envelopes hehe)
8. Feature to clear the buffer and/or undo the last recording
9. Set in auto-mode (via peak recognition) or in manual-mode (inserted by user via mouse)trigger points in the loop to do beat-slicing-like things.
10. Obviously all the present and future triggering stuff of midi-parts
11. Obviously all midi controllable
lalo
