I just got it yesterday, and when I go through the install process, it just sits at the 'Installing Windows Media Components' part. I thought it just might be slow so I left it on over night and it was still at that spot this morning!
Some info on me computer:
P4 2.4 (wHT)
1gig ram
Windows XP Pro (SP1, and nearly all the updates)
I've recently had the demo for Cubase SX installed, as well as a bunch of demo vsts. I made to to uninstall them all first before trying to install this.
It seems to get through installing the main program, as all the cubase files are there, and it will even work if I try to run the main cubase executable. It's just it starts to install those media compnents and then it just sort of dies out. The CD stops spinning, the HD light shows it's pretty much inactive as well.
If I got to the task manager, it says both the installer (the autorun window that lets me select to install) and the installing process (the part actually doing the install) are both running (in the Application tab), but neither of them show any CPU usage time (in the process tab).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
David.
