I had a quick listen. The content seemed to be concentrated mostly on the synth samples from the core JV and three of the expansion cards. From that set I only had the Vintage Synth one when I had a JV1080. It had some good VP330 sounds IIRC. However, I can't imagine these are any better than what's available from UVI, Best Service or Zero-G. The cards were what, 16 megabytes of samples, if that?zeep wrote:Did any of you listen to the sounds yet?
You know. The sounds. What we use to make music with. Those frequencies. Energy.

I can't say I've ever thought "if only I had the vintage synth samples from the JV1080..." There may be some more 90s retro stuff in there, but without a list of patches it's hard to know what Cluster have in that collection. And the beauty of the JV is how you use it as a module – combo sounds, four-part programs etc - rather than for the core sounds.
There is also the small point that if they had licensed the sounds from Roland, they would probably (have to) display that prominently with lots of trademark disclaimers.
