So....basically Indian Kanye?

EDIT:
Oh, I see the thread has already devolved into showing off other shitty songs. Alright, then here, I'll throw this one in:

Well seeing as this thread is taking on a more world music vibe, I won't repost Hot Problems by Double Take.

So.... enjoy this instead

Maybe we should have separate categories:

-bad like that song
-excellently bad, like The Shaggs

Well, that certainly took me on a trip down memory lane.

Had to mloisten to the Jean Michel Jarre version, too!
More memories - everything is better with a breakbeat and brutal filtering

I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Honestly I don't see or hear any difference between these tracks listed and this ...

Every time I think it can't get any worse or more tasteless or more influenced by ecstasy it disappointingly does. It's a never ending spiral of down.

Them be the giants. Seems like a pattern there. You generally think the EDM genre is worse? Or just those songs?

Uh, Madonna is bigger than all of them. There is no difference. Same sounds used in the same way with the same formulae to accomplish the same goal using the same techniques aiming at the same crowd. You tell me the difference.

Never heard it, nor the original. However, within seconds I was taken back to my stoner days:

Had no idea they had just nicked it

Worst song ever? Hmmm, many tunes are vying for that spot. This is right up there:

The difference? The Madonna crowd probably don't like EDM as much as the EDM crowd does. As far as I know, Madonna is more pop and less EDM, but I admit I have not heard the entire Madonna catalog nor much EDM. She dabbled in EDM but in other stuff too? Personally speaking, to me the songs themselves are stronger than any marketing. I mean I like her Holiday song without being affected by marketing (as far as I know). And I can name at least 5 EDMish songs by other artists/bands that I like that was not affected by marketing. But in terms of music and since music is subjective, the "difference" is probably not explainable. But in terms of marketing, you are probably right, there is no difference.

In terms of being "aimed" at, I know marketing and targeting has limits. I don't know about other people but personally, I don't have much cash and so I am pretty much immune to marketers and their ads and whatever? Furthermore, as one random example, take the metal music crowd... my guess is that no amount of marketing/targeting is going to work if you try to sell EDM or whatever music that is so nonmetallic to them. But it's possible some metal music consumers can tolerate and are open to nonmetallic music. Not all, but a few of them, at least. Goth crowd too. Any music crowd, probably. I am almost sure that marketing works on the metal music crowd as well, the marketers just have to sell metallic music stuff, mostly. Again, I guess that's true with most genre of music, marketing is there, and works, in varying full/limited degrees? If it doesn't work then marketing would be dead but it's alive?

Yes degrees, I mean if you look at, let's say, the Taylor Swift crowd, or, again, any band's crowd, they are not totally united, they have arguments, and not just about hairstyles etc, meaning they don't automatically like everything that is being sold to them, that they don't necessarily like entire CD's, just some songs, therefore they don't all just "buy" everything the marketers sell to them. Try selling, let's say, AC/DC's music to the Taylor Swift crowd, it will probably fail even if the best marketing brains are the ones selling. There's free will and taste there? Just like try selling Taylor Swift to the Pink Floyd crowd... probably no cigar. I mean even the Pink Floyd crowd are varied. I myself only bought the Dark Side Of The Moon CD and nothing else. Varying degrees of being a fan. I'm just speculating of course. Yeah, I don't really know, I'm just guessing. But I do sometimes surf YouTube just for no reason at all other than "I'm sick of Scrabble study and failed music-making attempts, I need a break" and I look at the comments, yeah even the Taylor Swift ones, not just the Pink Floydish ones. It might be like trying to find a needle in a haystack but there might be honest accurate data there, by true fans, more so than everywhere else? For speculations, that is. There might most likely also be dishonest comments, by trolls and shills of course.

Yes I know the word sheep was never used, just that and correct me if I misinterpreted what was typed and read it as "the business people are in control and they sell crap and certain people are too much like sheep to know it" but I'm like "but dude I like some of that Madonna crap and I don't think the business people had influence in me liking them songs". But who knows? I kind of believe that subliminal messages are being used to sell stuff via them flashy, full-of-lightning-and-strobes YouTube clips and movies. And so yeah maybe the reason I like some of Madonna's songs is that I saw some of those possible subliminal messages which had instructions that is something like "you will now like Madonna's Holiday song". But I doubt it sometimes. Oh my, my reply got long, as usual. It's like an e_e_t_o_. Hahaha. Know that I was mostly giggling when I wrote this reply. Giggling and Googling about everything, not just when replying and typing stuff in forums, really. I should change my signature to "Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see."

Oh hey I just realized, 100 percent of the songs and tunes I have ever created would fit this thread's title. Maybe quite a few other KVR members's creations too. But it's all subjective as the cliche goes. Hahaha. Whatever. Okay bye.
