It's a pretty big step forward if regular users like me can take a monark filter and hook up with Razor OSC or vica versa, and actually get a usable sound out of it.

So far Reaktor has been too difficult for me to getting to grips with under the hood

Seeing the Blocks presented that way, makes me think that one can wire together and change synth modules a bit like Loom

Is the regular (not upgrade price) fixed at €199, meaning it has been slashed in half of regular R5 price, or is it just intro price ?

It's the official 199 Euro Price. The dropped it for making it opener to all people.
399 Euro was to high

Seems the fixed price, I guess the realized that 400 bucks is too much for the amateur/consumer market.

For 200 bucks kind of a no-brainer, right?

I would not call it a no brainer, I would call it a very cool offer, €/$200 is still quite a bit of money, you can get a whole Komplete upgrade for that

This renders the educational option somewhat less attractive though.
