It is way more rigid than Reaktor, but you can exchange modules more or less like you want to.

Not really. Any slot can contain any module, but its a linear audio path through the slots.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

we still have to pay 99$ but no new Ensembles...right?
Right

But you get 30 Blocks to play with and using templates as provided by NI in the user area, putting together and modding a modular creation is easier than ever before :)
Actually there are several new ensembles showing off what you can do with Blocks.

hey thanks for the reply.

The blocks definitely seem cool, but having just upgraded to K10 I think I may wait until the usual 50% upgrade to K11 (whenever it comes out). I have been getting the Komplete upgrade a few years late for $75 IIRC, and I am assuming that an upgrade to K11 will include Reaktor 6 plus some other things that I don't have yet, as well as others that haven't even come out yet.

OTOH, I have a 25 Euro voucher that will expire at the beginning of October . . . . .

Cool :tu:

As these were not displayed on the NI pages when I read that a couple of hours ago, I thought there were none. But really nice that they have done that.

Unless I did something wrong, vouchers will not apply to this upgrade. Let me know if yours does.

Yeah it's a bit odd they haven't highlighted that but if you check out the PointBlank tutorial it takes you through several of them - they are basically all pre built modular racks:

If you look at the Point Blank Video posted earlier in the thread, at the 2:08 mark you can see a player folder called Reaktor Blocks, and within that there appear to be 9 ensembles (Drive, Duality, Monark Mikro etc.) made by NI from Blocks and each has presets.

Video of these ensembles here:

My main concern is the Point Blank video shows cpu usage at 30-40% most of the time. Let's hope he has a Celeron ;)
You can see all the blocks here as well: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... -6/blocks/

I was a bit meh at first as well with no new ensembles but you can see the potential to build your own from scratch which is better IMO as long as NI are adding more modules in the future which i assume they will!

E-Vouchers don't work with crossgrades and updates, just checked. :(

That settles it, then - will wait for K11.

So, in theory, would it be possible to build a super Monark now? Polyphonic, arp, fx, same sound? That would be nice..
