Well this is growing fast. There are already 11 blocks in the user library. Bit of a bummer though that blocks are monophonic, so I guess it can't fully substitute my Nord G2 yet. CPU usage would have likely been prohibitively high then anyway, on my 2.3 ghz laptop. Still, this is a must buy though I'm gonna try to wait till the next sale.

It seems to me that too many people just have to non-productively emphasize what's not featured in an update, synth, product-in-general. Too many threads get like this, belaboring a negative instead of providing helpful ideas toward either making it a positive or even providing any kind of input that would help other users on KVR learn more about the update, synth, product-in-general.
To be more clear, sometimes I wonder if most people come here to complain instead of doing what the truly priceless members do: provide ways of helping everybody learn more about synths, programming, engineering, production, etc. Or simply offering solutions.
Anyhoo, I obviously speak as one of the complainers lol.
I just see this negative-only thing too often here, and I wonder if some of the abovementioned are those people who don't buy synths to learn how to use them, they're just on a "synth/general music" kick", here today and delightfully gone tomorrow (after a frenzied bout with the marketplace), just stopping here on the way to their next womb/fetish.
If you are one of those irritated with me pointing it out, maybe you should re-evaluate your last posts to see where you stand in this dichotomy.
Just sayn'

do you have any idea when you might release ModularX 4? is it close?herw wrote: and of course on modular x4 network

from your post, it looks like R6 offers a few options for optimising/improvement, so I guess that might delay V4 ?
Id be really interested to hear if its easier to wire up, I could do this in ModularX v2(?), but changing the layout meant rewiring, which I found error-prone (for me)
and of course, thanks for providing modular X, its a fantastic contribution... and achievement!

...and the sound of those new blocks! I've been listening to all the demos and I don't think I can wait for Komplete 11. :/EvilDragon wrote:You can still use regular polyphonic instruments, man.
GUI updates are alone worth it.

I have been so taken with my upgrade I'm actually hitting the tutorials hard again, wanting to get as much out of it as possible. And it looks like there's TONS to get out of itzerocrossing wrote:...and the sound of those new blocks! Same here. Awesome update, great UI tweaks, BLOCKS(!!!), some great browser/folder searching updates and better structures. Worth every penny!Apostate wrote:I have been so taken with my upgrade I'm actually hitting the tutorials hard again, wanting to get as much out of it as possible. The only other plugin I'd pay for separately before KU 11 would be Kontakt 6...and somehow I get the feeling that won't be separate.exmatproton wrote:Same here. Just try translating the German Deutches Reaktor Forum page into English thru the website it self
and see what you get in the header...LOL!!! This should've been included in Obama's Nuclear Deal.

i am working on modular 4 since may 2014. I have tested several new concepts (so there is no version 3 and 3athetechnobear wrote:do you have any idea when you might release ModularX 4? is it close?herw wrote: and of course on modular x4 network

You can read news on DRF:
http://www.reaktor-forum.de/viewtopic.p ... 2&start=60
starting July 2014.
The new concept based on the idea that the normal user has the ability to use it very simple:
primary for panelelelemnts and only two corecells for signal processing.
So the user will have only to add a primary container (panel elements inside) and a core macro. Both very simple to insert, nothing more, no send-revceives etc..
The last months i got R6 to test and there are several features which are very useful for my concept:
1st the multidislay range is now 4096x4096 pixel, so i have only one multidisplay.
2nd mouse area sends mouse position without clicking and not on front.
So adressing the inputs is now very simple, no need for developer of modular containers to count the position. And now i can delete, insert and rearrange the container free.
3rd the bundles and scopes are very useful for dsp in core especially the gated clock is useful. I am able to cut unused container from clocking very easily. Bundles clear the structure.
So i waited until R6 is released.
The concept is tested and very stable (no crash no bugs all works fine).
Since last months i am transforming version 2 to version 4.
Unfortunately i had and have problems for health reasons. So i haven't much time and have to train my muscels.
So i think release of modular x4 will be end of year.
There will be several ensembles with new containers. If you want news then read from here:
http://www.reaktor-forum.de/viewtopic.p ... 8354#p8354
I will write about it especially about R6 and modular. the shown ensemble ELBE is working well.
