Bowed Crotales Space
A bowed crotales texture played on this instrument (the image shoes the lower octave of this unique instrument) processed with GRM Evolution, Kaleidoscope and other things, all oscillators share the same long sample, S1/2 are running in non-retrigger-mode. Macros 3-5 are individual volume controls for each layer. The Modwheel introduces tempo-synced amplitude modulation, M7 controls LP cutoff, M8 introduces tempo-synced random filter modulation. Dots And Swirls
Audio morphing/vocoding one of my Kaleidoscope textures with a sequenced bell synth, all oscillators share the same long sample, S2 is running in non-retrigger-mode. Macros 3-5 are individual volume controls for each layer. The Modwheel introduces square-shaped pitch modulation in all oscillators. Macro 2 (y) introduces aliased distortion, control the aliasing tone and add chorus FX with M1 (x), add fast random filter modulation with M8. Check the Macro page for more controls.

Mapped between C0 - B2 (C1 - B3 in Iris) there are 2 layered samples, the original electric guitar chord scape in Radius RT-mode and the processed version in normal sampling mode, use Macros 3/4 for individual volume control of each layer. In the upper half the second segment of the processed version is playing in Radius RT-mode between C3 (C4) and C6 (C7). The Modwheel introduces tempo-synced amplitude modulation. A Kaleidoscope texture inspired by/made with NASA images, both oscillators share the same long soundscape, overlapping split point is C4 (C5 in Iris). The Modwheel introduces noise-shaped pitch modulation, check the Macro page for FX controls.

Mapped up to C4 (C5 in iris) there is an electric guitar feedback drone with a descending glissando, running in Radius RT-mode, layered in S2/3 (running in non-retrigger-mode) above C4 there is a strange, distorted texture with processed guitar sounds, the oscillators have slow amplitude modulation applied with different LFO speeds so the texture constantly evolves. The Modwheel adds random pitch modulation toe the feedback drone in S1. Control distortion mix with M1, control the amount of distortion with M2. M3-5 control LP filter cutoff/amount of filter modulation/modulation speed. M6/7 control amount of delay/reverb FX. Glide is activated.

A dark granulated drone sound in the lower half (S3) meets a spectral soundscape produces during a beautiful sunrise which is layered in S1/2 with both oscillators running in non-retrigger-mode - split point is C4 (C5 in Iris). The Modwheel decreases filter cutoff and adds tube-distortion. Macro 4 adds noise-shaped pitch modulation to S1, M5 adds tempo-synced, square-shaped pitch modulation to S2, control modulation speed with M6, M7 adds tempo-synced pitch modulation to S3, check the Macro page for FX controls.

I just sent out a dozen of freshly converted Iris 2-patches to all subscribers. There are now 113 converted presets and one exclusive Iris 2 patch in the pool, including 2.34 GB of samples.

This patch uses the drone sample from Saturn City Split and applies a very dotted stochastic selection in two layered oscillators. S1 is playing in the time-conserving Radius RT-mode, S2 does not follow Midi pitch, it’s pitch is modulated by random LFO, control LFO speed with Macro 3, add noise-shaped pitch modulation to S1 with M4. The Modwheel adds distortion, M1 controls delay mix, M2 changes various delay parameters and produces more fun.

An english horn phrase from my composition Immanenz - processed with MTransform and other things, only the shorter notes are selected, similar spectral selection in each oscillator (running in non-retrigger mode) with an offset in the second so the textures overlap. Euphonium Monster Split
A heavily processed euphonium drone in the lower register (layered: S1 Radius RT-mode / S2 non-retrigger mode) and a sffz-swell in S3 in the upper register, overlapping split point is C4 (C5 in Iris). The Modwheel decreases LP filter cutoff, adds filter resonance and distortion - use it for wahwah like effects. Macro 3 adds a flutter-tongue like modulation to the upper sound, M4 adds tempo-synced pulsation to S-1/2.
Harp Wind Split
Spectrally re-synthesized and processed harp bisbigliandos, all 3 oscillators use the same long harp scape, S1 (in non-retrigger mode) having a very dotted and sparse selection, layered with S2 (in Radius RT-mode) which features the higher frequency ranges. S3 in the lower half plays in reverse/forward mode and is mapped up to C3 (C4 in Iris), S2 reaches down to C2 (C3) so there is overlapping octave. S1 play over the entire keyboard range. The Modwheel adds tempo-synced amplitude modulation to S2/3 and slow pitch modulation to S1. Macros 3/4 are dedicated volume controls for S1/2. The FX section runs in Send-mode, control Phaser-send with M1 (x), shift HP cutoff with M2 (post FX send), control delay time with M5.
Morphing Monks Split
Temple-monks I recorded in a Taipei temple during a puja (they were singing through SM57 mics into a crappy guitar amp) audio-morphed with a Zebra drone from my soundset 2nd Thoughts and then processed with an array of things. S1 in the lower register - C0 - C3 (C1 - C4 in Iris) and S2/3 layered from C#3 upwards (C#4). The Modwheel decreases LP filter cutoff and adds distortion. Add tempo-synced pan modulation to S1 with Macro 5, M3/4 introduce tempo-synced amplitude modulation in S2/3. Check the Macro page for FX controls.

A cosmic drone derived from a piano arpeggio, all three oscillators use the same long soundscape. S1 plays between C0 - C3 (C1 - C4 in Iris), S2/3 are layered from C3 - C7 (C4 - C8), Macros 5/6 are dedicated volume controls for each sound. The Modwheel introduces square-shaped, tempo-synced pitch modulation (different LFO speed in each osc). Please check the Macro page for FX and filter controls.

A massive Zebra drone processed with various things, all three oscillators are running in non-retrigger mode and use the same long drone sample. The Modhweel introduces slow amplitude modulation with a different LFO speed in each oscillator. Use Macros 3-5 to balance the layers, Please check the Macro page for FX and filter controls.

Split comb-filter drones sampled at different root notes. S1/2 are layered from C0 - F2 (C1 - F4 in Iris) - with S2 playing the entire frequency range of the sample, use Macro 3 for volume control - S3 plays from F2 to C6 (F3 - C7). A processed field recording captured in a Russian train all three oscillators are use the same long soundscape sample each highlighting different spectral aspects. S3 is mapped from C0 - C3 (C1 - C4 in Iris), S 1/2 are layered between C3 - C6 (C4 - C7). All oscillators are running in non-retrigger mode. The Modwheel introduces noise/random-shaped pitch modulation in S1/2 and tempo-synced, square-shaped pitch modulation in S3. Decrease filter cutoff with M2 (y), add filter synced filter modulation with M1 (x).
