I think I understand. 79 might seem high because it's "just" one of the Synth Squad. But iirc, Synth Squad altogether was over 200 US for years....79 doesn't seem particularly excessive when considered as a third of SS. At least to me it doesn't.bmrzycki wrote:Wow! Bought.
The upgrade price is $67,15 (auto group buy at JrrShop) and I think this is a fair upgrade price for existing customers.

Not at the time I write. The upgrade has disappeared. Full version is still there though.murnau wrote:With "GROUP" $66.36..4damind wrote:Bought.

So assuming the upgrade price for the other 2 (or 3 if we include Fusor) is also 79 then the upgrade price is more than it was new for the whole collection. I did wonder...Apostate wrote:I think I understand. 79 might seem high because it's "just" one of the Synth Squad. I think that speaks more about how they packaged and priced the original bundle. I always thought their pricing policies were weird.aMUSEd wrote:So assuming the upgrade price for the other 2 (or 3 if we include Fusor) is also 79 then the upgrade price is more than it was new for the whole collection. It sounds like no significant updates to the basic sound, and the new features aren't that important to me. Think I'll pass this time, though I am still loving the original SS.
A well-behaved signature.

79.99$ holy crap that's a lot! Even 66.00 is a lot to me. Considering you could get SS1 for 99$ on sale this is a pretty price upgrade. That's asking a lot for a gui upgrade tbh, you can already do everything it adds with furor + strobe. Hey, I'll buy it right now for 39$ as i think that's a fair price for existing owners.

I think you can't see it this way as we talking about v2 pricing not v1. If the two other cost (which is more then likely and i keep Fusor to the side atm) also $179 we talking about a bundle price of something around the $500 mark maybe? So if i can buy all three for something around $190 it's okay.. ..I don't say it's bloody cheap but we have to be fair.aMUSEd wrote:So assuming the upgrade price for the other 2 (or 3 if we include Fusor) is also 79 then the upgrade price is more than it was new for the whole collection. Is there any information on when the other two synths will be updated, and will there be an upgraded fusor to go along with the set when it's completed?

I asked the same question, it looks like Cypher is currently being updated, and there's no real word on Fusor. Apparently the new Strobe won't work in Fusor, which I thought kind of odd as I love Fusor and am especially curious as to how extensive the modulation capabilities are in Strobe 2 without it.Ah_Dziz wrote:Is there any information on when the other two synths will be updated, and will there be an upgraded fusor to go along with the set when it's completed?

How much would you normally reckon to pay for 900 professional-quality presets alone?

Not well, you can't. There's a lot of things in this one that you won't find in either Strobe v1 or Fusor.you can already do everything it adds with furor + strobe.

Hi Angus
My $29 was too cheap, but I am not interested in the presets, but in the synth. That said, the GUI thing is quite a big deal for me as I have failing eyesight.
$79 just seems a lot, multiplied by 3 (or 4), to get that GUI. I know lots of other things have been improved too, but for me it is the synth engine and the GUI that matters.
Sorry. I don't mean to offend.
