If you wanted it and looked for the right moment - best time in a while is here now - $299 regular price meaning retailers have something better even on that.

I bought some years back at $325 promo, but for everybody else....

That's a crazy buy...

As I said to someone else on Facebook, the Waves SSL Collection is one of the few plugins you won't find in other bundles like Mercury or Diamond or anything like that. It's only available separately or as part of the Studio Classics bundle.

Given that it's usually quite pricey, now would be a great time to consider grabbing it to complete your collection.

Although the sale must only be a 3rd party one, because I can't see any evidence of it on the Waves website.

Still, it'll be worthwhile to keep checking.

For the uninitiated...

I ran Sonar with MTC like that from Jammer Pro 10 years ago and a virtual midi cable.
I've ran nTrack on a laptop from a Fostex portastudio the same way.

But overall, it's a pita to run and sync multiple sequencers.
Thanks dude, but wrong thread me thinks ;)

I did it twice, I think it was something that made KVR go down - I'm pretty sure I was in right thread second time, about sync .

Or my dementia is further developed than I expected....;)

EDIT: No, I just think you were faster than my edit of "wrong topic" above.

Anybody remember the lowest dealer price then, or other previous "lowest ever" deals?

It's old, dated technology. I wouldn't pay more than $49 bucks for it

So is the original desk, it was built in the 80s for god sake. I hardly think the desk is going to up and retrofit itself and suddenly begin to sound superior or modern.

If you want a fresh sound you would go for a 9000 emulation or something. Then for those who are after a classic sound the SSL 4000 is still a very viable choice. They are still used in world class recording to this day.

Just because it has been around for a while, don't make the mistake of thinking it's old tech. It's seen countless updates and has 64-bit architecture. It gets improved on all the time while trying to preserve the original sonic quality of the original desk.

You won't see it for $49 simply because it really hasn't lost much in value at all.

Well, about $49 a plug-in is where I consider jumping on this one... we're close at $220!
