This time a real song with vocals. I'm not very confident as a singer, so comments on the vocals will be wellcome. Well, all comments, really...
Enjoy!

don't know what I'd call this either, but it's different (to me anyway). I love the slightly glitchy pops of percussion. and your voice, well there may have been a slight out of tune spot or two, but wtf, I think it suits the overall sound very well.
I would love to have a chance at doing a remix of this.

Thanks. You would be most wellcome. Just tell what you need (individual tracks, format etc.) It would be thrilling, I thinkbluedad wrote:I would love to have a chance at doing a remix of this.

Very nice work for me. I think its Blues. It reminds me of a lot of things but then again nothing at all. Perhaps I would like to hear it "break out" at some point and be more defined. I suppose that would take some confidence wit hthe voice. Give it a go

This is great. Is there a digerdoo in there? Nice acoustic natural sounds. Your voice is good, just a bit quiet (could be a bit louder in the mix perhaps) and a bit shaky here and there (I suffer from that too) the best cure for that is to keep recording yourself and sing all the time! that's what i've been doing anyway, though still yet to hear any improvements in my voice!
Good stuff though, I like it

Yeah sounds like blues to me too. Should call it "Heather Town Blues"
. Your voice is fine, it does not need to be balsy to sound good. I'd also love to see this remixed by Bluedad and co.

A very nice piece. I 've listened to your other work too and admire your approach to sample use.
Regarding the vocals I feel they are just right now, any so called imperfections merely add to the atmosphere, the pace is set early and maintained, which in this case seems the thing to do, like the velvet underground - fragile yet unstoppable!

I think the public thing could be interesting. I'll post links here later. Stay tuned.bluedad wrote:if you could pm me the individual tracks as mp3

And thanks for all your comments. It's very encouraging to learn that ones vocals isn't that bad. About the "shaky" bit. The vocals where done late at night in my apartment. Almost whispering.
And no didgeridoo, just my ever increasing collection of ecsotic and toy instruments.

Top Bass here Thomas
I am loving the direction your tracks are taking. Your experimentalism with sounds is getting more refined and I must say that I rather like your voice in here.
If I'd have a bit more time I would jump on the remix-wagon. But I'll just enjoy instead
