Looking for a tuner VST

Hi everyone,
Is there anything like a (free) tuning VST which does nothing but show the tune of an instrument on a DAW track? I need such a VST to, for example, fine tune old cassette recordings that are slightly out of pitch.
At the moment, I'm still using an age-old VST called "Tune It", which basically does what I want. However, this VST dates from 2004 and is only 32 bit.
I know there's usually a tuner in guitar sims, but I'm explicitly looking for a pure tuning VST. Maybe someone knows of one I haven't noticed yet.

I use G Tune:

Free, 64 Bit, and it doesn't install a ton of other plugins..............

I have both GTune and MTuner. Each has their advantage over the other, GTune is usually my first choice as i find it more reliable but it struggles with more complex sounds, MTuner will basically have a go at anything you run through it but it can jump around a lot.

My fav too. Assuming though that your tape material is a solo instrument (monophonic)?U-o wrote:+1Teksonik wrote:I use G Tune:

I've found that these tuner plugins often show different results from the same source
And Abletons tuner plugin only seems to work on kickdrums, nothing happens when I run snares through it?

I find the best way to tune a snare is actually to layer it with another tuned sound like a tom.
Sometimes tuners work better if you run a lowpass filter beforehand thus removing as much of the harmonic content of the sound as possible.

seriously... try spiral. because of the way it shows the spectrum, you can tune to any harmonic or any part of the signal...mutantdog wrote:I find the best way to tune a snare is actually to layer it with another tuned sound like a tom.
