So this is my first time using a forum. I always look on Youtube to help me find what I need, but sometimes its not working out. So I came here for some advice on How to make uplifting Trance but the thing that is frustrating me is: [I am also a beginner in music production{I am using Fl Studio 11} {And also I started doing music class to learn about music theory and play the piano}.

1. What automations is mostly used in Uplifting Trance?
2. Can someone give me a uplifting trance file they an lend to me?
3. How to be creative in your tracks?
4. How do you layer Uplifting Trance Basslines?
4. What chords does Uplifting Trance mostly use?
5. Can you reccomend me some mixer plugins to use for Trance? {I have Ozone 5, Fab Filter Q & Saturn, Kickstart Nickey Romero}
6. How to mix properly in your mixer when it comes to leads and plucks?
7. Can you give me some other tips to build up a track?

Sorry if this topic is in the wrong section or I don't know, I am new here of course. Some questions are just random but you can still answer it for me.

Thanks!,

I can answer to some of your questions, but not all, so let's begin:

1 - Volume, Cutoff (lowpass), Decay if you use plucky sound, Reverb and Delay, mostly.

3 - Listen to Uplifting tracks all the time. Then, change for a style like Tech-house or PsyTrance: the clash between the different styles will influence your music and will help you get some new structures you can adapt for producing your Uplifting track.

4 - Always use a Sub, for the rest stick to saw bass mainly. Always have a minimum of these two elements for any bass and you'll be good.

6 - Cut a little the high and low end of your synths, also try to give them more space and lower some frequencies to let your beat breath (you can use a little sidechain also on lowest-mid frequencies).

7 - Listen to your favorite artist or what "the public" considers like standards, it will help you know the basics of your own style and let you progress and enhance it from there.

I hope these small tips will help you :) Good luck!
My debut album pretty in ping is out, download it here: https://edgenet.bandcamp.com/ Thx! :)

What automations is mostly used in Uplifting Trance?
Use multiple layers so you can automate each in more significant way.
How do you layer Uplifting Trance Basslines?
Typically sub, offbeat bass, rolling bassline and high-passed phasy acid.
What chords does Uplifting Trance mostly use?
Minor, major, all harmonic intervals will do. Typically you have minor buildup and major lead.

The other questions apply to all music in general and have no easy answer :ud:

For a beginner, your approach seem much too analytic for me. I'd recommend learning the FL studio tools before looking for special tools for special tasks.

Notably this is an inevitable, free resource for FL studio users. Though he doesn't do Trance (or does he), he has amazing sound design/track building skills.

4-8-16-32 - whatever you like, just put a music file in your DAW and analyze the structure.
