Been programming drums with the Impulse and comparing the cpu with Simplers loaded into mutiple channels... Simplers with hits loaded offer a lot of cool filter and sample manipulation... but eat more cpu than an Impulse loaded with a kit... Of course you can mangle the hits with FX and such with the simplers... I've figured about 10% with 4 simplers loaded and sending to 2 fx sends... Not bad I guess... Half that for the Impulse though... I've tried using a single hit to program beats with a volume envelope, but depending on the length of the hit, it seems to clip the sample/hit and click pretty bad... I've managed to get a few samples to work, but it seems to be dependent on the length of the sample... The clip actions is crazy cool... I got it to play the first clip twice, jump to the second, then play the third, jump back to the first and branch to a fourth occasionally!! Now is that cool or what... sort of Boolean!

Doh! Impulse is multi-out... RTFM! Ha ha... Lot of cool stuff in this program... Too many possibilities, can't figure out what to do next...

Sorry DHR, I read this yesterday, but didn't put it together about multiouts. Yeah, I'm soooo glad they did that in the first release of 4.

Live 4.01 drums and stuff...
