If you have NI Reaktor (not sure if it works with Player version also) there's been a few ensembles uploaded recently.

We've never paid anybody for any review or whatsoever and never will. This would blur the separation of editorial content and advertising and would not only damage the journalist's credibility but also our credibility. As such behavior is considered taboo around most of the globe, at least in Germany it is even prohibited by law:

That being said, I'm perfectly ok with you not liking our products and thank you for all productive feedback. Everyone's a critic.
And for everybody out there, please enjoy our VIER LE as our little Christmas present.
Take care and a happy holiday season
Gunnar

Vier LE is a really bad joke...no even preset manager? Are you kidding me?

I can make do without the preset manager, and I could also have made do with two instead of four modules, but when the two remaining modules themselves are chopped in half:idfpower wrote:Vier LE is a really bad joke...no even preset manager? Are you kidding me?
-AR-envelope instead of a full ADSR envelope
-the famous two audio range LFOs are missing
Taking out what makes Vier "famous" is removing more or less what makes Vier Vier

Well I can't. I have a few main synths and I use the rest as mere additional sound modules (no point in learning every single VSTI in and out - especially when it comes to cut-down versions). I have no interest in heavily crippled versions, and when they lack even basic functions... neah. Oh wellNumanoid wrote:I can make do without the preset manager

Gunnar's replies have been extremely polite and non defensive
It seems a little churlish to chastise a company for releasing a product that's not as good original/faithful/better than expected, where I'm sure they have done their best and not gone out of their way to cheat or willfully mislead potential customers. If it's not good enough then sales (lack of) will reflect that. I'm not so sure that they deserve some of the comments being made here.
I am personally not that impressed but that is just my taste and there are some people who seem to like their stuff and some critics who view what they do favorably. Good luck to them.

Maybe you have to cancel your CM subscription too?valerian_777 wrote:1+Caine123 wrote:sry but Eisenberg still doesnt convince me, lacks fullness, lacks in every way!
I even cancelled my Beat subscription because i don't need gimmick reviews (looks like they got money for it?).
They give Vier a 9/10 rating and Performance award, their verdict: "a creative analogue emulation that will delight fans of the original hardware, as well as those who like to design their own sound effects."
Gotta take reviews with a grain of salt, but when the accolades keep pouring in from different professional sources, one gotta take notice, and maybe another look at it?

I don't have CM subscription so nothing to cancel.
PS. I tested it already not my cup of tea soundwise. Do you think i judge it without trying it out before?

For a couple of days, Beat gives away the cut down version of Vier (Vier LE) with their BeatFirst app:

I have the original hardware here, it has a great filter but a bit limited by having only one oscillator. It's much fatter than a 303, it was originally sold as a 303 clone but sounds more like a cleaner Moog to me. Sounds a bit like a real bass guitar someone commented to me once?!
One of the cool things about the hardware is the LFO's go into FM, it sounds really crazy, good for freak out sounds.
The audio demo's for the software version sound nothing like the hardware, some a/b examples would be a great way to sell the synth a little more
If anyone in the UK is very keen on the original I would consider selling it, just PM me. It's great, but I would rather have a change of sound.

I just went to their website to have a look and can not find any information about the price or a link to buy their products anywhere. This is weird.. Do they even want to sell their plugins?

I'm only just finding out about this plug in, but I can't quite understand the negative reviews. I'm only listening to their audio demos on Soundcloud, but they sound very convincingly analog to me, especially the audio-rate stuff which is notoriously lacking in many plug ins. I've never owned the synth it's trying to emulate... and I don't care, but if the demo version can make the sounds in the audio demos, it seems like a no-brainer.
Maybe the issue is people are used to VSTs like Diva which come with effects? I spent a lot of time in the VA world in the 00's and I got quite used to that sound. Virus, Ion, etc. Later started using Zebra, etc. I remember demoing a plug in analog emulation that had no effects and I thought, "Oh, this sounds kind of terrible." It wasn't what I was used to. Now I look back and think, "what an idiot I was." A good, dry analog monosynth is a thing of beauty. (I own several)
A similar thing once happened to me. I moved from a very hippy-crunchy town to a bigger rust-belt-relic town. I remember thinking, "The women here... they seem oddly unhealthy looking... OH! They're wearing make-up!" I was so unused to it that when I was re-exposed to it I thought it looked horrible. I still kind of do.
