That's what I thought when I first demoed it. I found Codex's filter to be a lot more to my liking, but I found that if you use the "French" and "German" filters, I can get them to sound really good. I they're in an odd place under "misc." I like them far better than Serum's other LP filters.

Those are the only filters I mess with when I'm working with Serum. They're good...there are just some I like a lot better.

Hey, that's not a synth, it's a spaceship! :hihi:
Your case is gorgeous!

Yeah, my modular is definitely my favorite instrument. It's so much more than a "synth"...

My favourite synths in 2015 are:

Blofeld (doing a personal bank)

Loom
Codex
Ultra Analog v2
ARP 2600 v2
SEM V
Retrologue
MS-20 (KLC)
Poly-Six (KLC)

(not owned yet, but soon I hope!)
Pulse 2
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

There are not so many synth released in 2015, IMO 2014 was a more interesting year.

Anyway, with older synth included and in this order:

Nord Lead 2x (yes, hardware but it's still my number 1)
Dune 2
Absynth 5
Diva
FXpansion Strobe
Rob Papen Predator
Spire
Access Virus XL (oops, I forget my Virus.. but it's not so often used and very often replaced by Spire)
Imageline Harmor
Arturia SEM
Sylenth1
Synthmaster (new in my list since it's now more stable and don't crashes my DAW).
Serum

I just have to add that I bought Diva and Serum.

Serum is incredibly powerful and I am absolutely loving all the things you can do with it so far.

I'd say, my synthesizer 2015 is Dexed.

It just feels right. Its sound immediatly stimulates emotions.
Haven't had the time to learn to program that thing though ... but since there are so many DX7 patches, there's no need for me to do this atm.

Skanner, Kontour, Massive, Monark.

Kontour is incredible, so is Skanner.

Actually most of the NI Reaktor ensembles are pretty awesome.

I'm pretty much 50/50 with hardware and software in my songs, and my current list of most-used synths is:

Access Virus TI2
Nord Lead 4R
Kurzweil PC3X
Blue 2
Alchemy
Omnisphere 2
U-he Hive
AAS Lounge Lizard (synth?)

We have a 12-song album coming out in a little over a week and these synths were used for 90%+ of the sounds.
Logic Pro | LUNA Pro | OB-X8 | Prophet 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | TEO-5 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Minitaur | Deepmind 12D | Slim Phatty | TR-1000 | Analog RYTM mk2 | Digitakt 2 | TD-3 MO | TD-3 | Maschine+

the only new vst I bought this year is Hybrid3 that came bundled with TriggerFinger Pro & I kinda dig it. Seems it can get very FAT
Other than learning that one, my most frequently used instruments are :
Alchemy
Z3ta2
UltraAnalog2
Operator
uTonic
Geist
DrumRack
and DimensionPro when I want strings, horns or a juicy Rhodes

looking at my VST folder, I haven't touched my Rapture in quite a while . . .

. . . excuse me while I go fire that one up
