SO, I HAVE PROTOOLS 10, BUT NOT THE SLIGHTEST CLUE HOW TO EVEN GET STARTED USING IT. IM USED TO GARAGEBAND, WHICH CAME WITH TUTORIALS ON HOW TO GET STARTED, AND CAME WITH PRELOADED LOOPS AND SOFTWARE INSTRUMENTS, AUDIO INSTRUMENTS, AND A WAY TO IMPORT MIDI IF U HAVE IT BUT I DONT. SO I HAVE PROTOOLS 10, BUT LITERALLY CANNOT EVEN FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE 1 SOUND WITH IT, AS I HAVE NO INSTRUMENTS OR LOOPS OR ANYTHING TO DO SO WITH.

LMAO. IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO MAKE A SONG WITH PROTOOLS WITHOUT SOME KIND OF ADDITIONAL HARDWARE?? I THOUGHT THERE WAS, BUT LOOKS LIKE I MAY HAVE WASTED A BUNCH OF MONEY. I DO PLAN ON GETTING MY FIRST MIDI KEYBOARD IN THE NEXT MONTH OR SO THO, SO MAYBE THEN I CAN GET SOMEWHERE ON THE ROAD TO LEARNING PROTOOLS. ANY HELP OR ADVICE WILL BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

If you do a search you can find all sorts of tutorials, tips, etc.

Don't forget, Pro Tools comes with a manual. It is your most valuable resource for information and learning.

Don't think for one second you are going to jump into such a substantial tool and know all there is, or anything for that matter, about it.

READ THE BOOK!

And while you are at it, learn some proper internet etiquette.

Why did you pick ProTools over all the other DAWs out there? If you need plugins you're gonna have to buy some http://www.avid.com/plugins

That's odd that, because PT10 comes with multiple instruments and a shitload of loops.

First of all you would need a good sample database. I know, there are some free drum samples out there. But the commercial ones are always the best choose. Otherwise you can always bootlag the drums from others. If you got the drums samples all together, cut the hell and be the captain of your sequencer. Learn how to use it - no need to go through millions of youtube tutorials. Just start using the sequencer with your samples!
