Hey guys. Just wanted to share some installation information for windows users!
Installation
Download the MUX Modular Plug-In zip package and unzip it to a new folder. Then move the resulting folder into your preferred VST plug-ins folder.
MUX Modular Plug-In comes as a self-containing folder. It does not install anything on your system outside this folder. You can move the MUX Modular Plug-In folder after you have installed it. You can even put it on a USB stick and carry your MUX Plug-In with you.
Windows
On Windows 7/8, it may be better not to install the MUX Modular folder under the 'Program Files' folder, but rather in a non UAC protected folder like C:/VstPlugins/MuTools/MUX. This is to avoid access problems caused by Windows' UAC mechanism.
The reason for this is that MUX Modular stores your user settings in a couple of files in MUX/User/Settings. The good thing about that is that your MUX Modular installation is easily movable, and can be put on your USB stick for example. Another advantage is that you can have multiple independent MUX Modular installations on the same system, for example different versions of MUX. Therefore it's best that the user settings are store inside the MUX Modular folder and thus this folder must be writable.

Is there a way to change the number of outputs on the mux effect plugin? In orion its saying I cant insert it on any of the channels because its reading it as a surround plugin? I can use it in patchworks, however, that is a paid one. Maybe I'll use Studio One this time round, if not.

In behalf of the Mac users: is it valid to use the MUX that comes with the Mac MuLab version?
This is a monster instrument/effect/utility etc. it would be a shame to have just us, windows users, having a ball with it!
Edit: but they can't use it if they win it.

That's an extremely good question, I wasn't totally aware of the MuLab native Mac versionliquidsound wrote:In behalf of the Mac users: is it valid to use the MUX that comes with the Mac MuLab version?

Is it exactly the same thing?

No totally sure but I know the MUX is there. It's the core of MuLab engine if I understand correctly.bjporter wrote:That's an extremely good question, I wasn't totally aware of the MuLab native Mac versionliquidsound wrote:In behalf of the Mac users: is it valid to use the MUX that comes with the Mac MuLab version?

Btw, maybe they (Mac users) cannot use a MUX VST but there are other winning instruments etc. to gain from participate using the MUX in MuLab if it is allowed.

My entry "Synthesized Rhinosaurosass"
This version is all synth.. First version used the drum machine on MUX.
Thank you to Dakkra for the kick.
https://soundcloud.com/antti-luode/synt ... osaurosass
18 instances of MUX.
I only used FLstudio limiter and effector as reverb.
I made the project using FLstudio 12.1.2
The FLtudio FLP is at:

I don't like the fact that I can't play back the project after the end of October if I participate in this contest.
Is there a chance for everyone who participates and submits a track to get a permanent key for the synth of the month? (Except for the winner who chooses their product as a prize, that is...)

You could always buy Mux or Mulab, its very reasonably priced.
The free version still works albeit with an occasional soft noise and you could also ceate an audio file of each track and play it back that way
Edit:
Of course the obvious thing to do is win

yes it is
Just swap out all the samples and replace them synthesized versions.
Also, is there like a glide module I can insert to control glide from a preset or other sound that don't have the controls set up? Hmm, this thing is quite complex indeed but sounds amazing! Any video tutorials?

Not sure if I will have time to create a song for this, but I'll try and just see how it goes. I have the older version from last year (5.x), so I will probably be getting the month-long trial version and check out those newer features.
