So Sam Smith has hit No1 with his bond tune.

I protest

Not only is it the worst Bond tune its one if there worst tunes I've heard in general in the charts.

I heard a quote he wrote it in 10 minutes, I'm assuming this was while taking a shit.

Is the some way we can petition to have this redacted?

I don't normally care about commercial music but this is a new low in the history of public choice, Britain was once a great nation

As a Bond Theme, its one of the worst.

Its the only Bond Theme to get to #1..... but it got to #1 selling less copies than any of the others.

TBH, it's probably quite difficult to write a decent Bond theme nowadays.
There's so many Bond tunes, and most of the old ones won't be beaten (Diamonds Are Forever / GoldFinger / Live And Let Die...).

Also, the 'Bond' requirement of cheesey, camp but amusing lyrics has been exhausted. It probably was by the 1980s.
I just wish that Queen could have done a Bond song

Maybe the next, next Bond tune should have someone like Benge, Efdemin or Boards of Canada recording some tasty bleeps and bloops?
Or perhaps Konono No 1 with their wild distorted Afro-beat?

I digress...
As long as the new movie (Spectre) is half-amusing, I won't be caring about the tune anyway.

Annoyingly 'Whiney' is how I'd describe his singing

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad with a different vocalist.

Well I like the song. The problem for me is in the arrangement and the mix. It's not dramatic enough and his vocal is too loud, too separated and focused - it needs to be buried in the instruments more imo and there needs to be just a 'bigger' sound to the song.
