I agree. Going solely based on sound, Heartbeat is by far the best drum synth I've ever heard.Robmobius wrote:Depends on what complexity or features you're after. If you want something which is super quick and sounds great, have a gander at softube's Heart Beat.Juljan wrote:Hey,

JuljanIt has a very good FX section.
However, it does'nt have a sequencer. It used midi in the track lane for the drums.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIEEEEEEEE! I loves me an XILS (I know, I'm assuming) synth and I can imagine an XILS drum synth would be amazing. (P.S. Put in a modulation system like Oxium has)

Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

OK, everybody together now (GIMMIE GIMMIE by AD-DA)
Quarter twelves
And I'm watching my great DAW in its PHAT mode alone
How I hate to spend the evening on my TOMS
Auto scripts
Going inside my Windows as I took the mode to "Room"
And it made delayed reflection sound like "Boom"
There's Rock n Roll in there
But no one's seems to care
GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE a Jam after midnight
Wont somebody help me chase the echos away
GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE a Jam after midnight
Take me through the darkness of the filter - some way

for an "analog drum synth plugin without samples" try FXpansion's Tremor. It can seem overly complex at first but it's a real powerhouse capable of some lush vintage analog timbres:

Bong. It's the real deal- a ton of flexibility, a lot of knowledge and testing behind it... one of the "big boys" could've slapped a $50 price tag on it and sold a bajillion of 'em with their marketing dept behind it. Best $25 I ever spent.

Among my favourite are Marvin vst's excellent roland emus - highly underrated imo.

Tromine Z does 909 toms better than any payware plugin I've ever heard.
