Tromine Z does 909 toms better than any payware plugin I've ever heard.
Another one that uses samples for hats and cymbals ...

TR 909 HiHats were samples in the original HW unit as well afaik. Too weak for some proper research right now because of flue and fever.

I'm searching for a great analog drum synth plugin without(!) samples like microtonic by Sonic Charge.

Do you know any alternatives?

Thank you and best regards,

FYI: Sonic Charge's Microtonic is synthezised, no samples ;)

PS: Almost any synth can do drums. Ok, they're not specialized in this. But that's a way how you could create unique special drum sounds, that a lot of other producers don't have.

The OP states he wants a drum synth like microtonic ... meaning without samples (like microtonic).

Yeah, it could be somewhat clearer I guess with interpunction ;)

I know and that's why I recommended BONG which comes with 41 different algos at once. Anyways, the TR 909 is considered as an analouge drum machine despite it's use of 6 bit samples for all HH and cymbals.

Okay - to clarify..

Tromine Z (909 emu) uses (your own) samples for cymbals - yes. The original TR909 had no synthesis for it's cymbals either - it used samples of one of the developers own Paiste cymbals so :P Tromine (606 emu), Tromine GT (808 emu), ReTromine, BDX (kick emu), SDX (snare emu), HCX (Hihat emu) don't use any samples. If you're going to pass up an entire line of excellent plugins because one of them uses samples for the cymbals then I don't know what to say really.

EXD-80 (as bibz1st mentioned) and Tactile Sounds' TS-808 are also good in the 32-bit freeware world.
