And some beat mangling processing the most simple beat I could play which leads to total FX mayhem:

I forgot to mention that the version 5 GUIs are certainly not Retina/Yosemite ready, please improve the flickering mayhem asap, thank's!

Checked Radiator V4 vs V5 and Devli Loc Deluxe V4 vs V5 - CPU and RAM the same:Daags wrote:apologies if it's been mentioned already,
but does anyone know if the DSP algos have been tweaked or improved ? either in terms of sound/fidelity or optimization ?
ASIO: ~15% on i7 2.8 GHz (one instance)
RAM: 20-40 MB per instance
Slate Digital for example ships "polyphonic" instances - 0.2-0.3 MB per instance !!!

Do you mean every time you open saved projects? Or just projects containing V4?jue wrote:Hello,

Well, that was a no-brainer. $50 to upgrade, still leaves me with Radiator and Devil-Loc Deluxe licenses I could theoretically flog. I could wind up making money off this!
Think I might see if I can put them in the second-hand part of Luftrum's auction, in fact.

just projects containing V4
yes
Worked with a lot of Numerology projects and stacks the last years.
On another computer were the new V5 is not installed the V4 plugins are no more working because at the iLok the V4 versions were removed and the V4 versions are asking for activation again.
Submitted this to Soundtoys also will inform about their answer.

Yup. Upgraded on the basis of V4 plus the full version of Microshift, and the Little versions of Alter Boy and Primal Tap. Was pleasantly surprised that they accepted the Little versions as tradeins considering they were freebies, rather generous of them really.TheoM wrote:whyterabbyt wrote:Well, that was a no-brainer. $50 to upgrade, still leaves me with Radiator and Devil-Loc Deluxe licenses I could theoretically flog. if you didn't have to tick them to get to the $50 price like i did then yes there is no issue flogging them.
You must have had all the other full effects already in your account individually.

Hi, Chris from Soundtoys here - I did the majority of the programming for the rack. Just want to chime in on this issue. And thank you for the awesome videos! We are so stoked to see what sounds people are coming up with.Sampleconstruct wrote:Thank's - because? Nice sounds!
Why is the GUI so laggy in the video though?
1- Retina and other large super-hi-res monitors definitely can stress the graphics in the rack, and this is something we're aware of, but we did not want to make you guys wait any longer! We're looking to improve that ASAP. This only occurs on some DAWs/systems, because all of the DAWs handle window resizing differently.
2 - Doing video capture stresses it even more!
All the UI happens on one thread, so this is independent from audio processing (which happens on a different dedicated thread). Thanks for your understanding, and we are definitely working on it.

It's simple to be complicated, but complicated to be simple.

Thank's Chris, I'll buy the graphic problems any day as long as the sound is as good as it is, other plugins have the same problems so I am used to it by now, it seems the more one invests, the more shitty one's equipment behavesinharmonicity wrote:Hi, Chris from Soundtoys here - I did the majority of the programming for the rack. I'm reading on GS that while the preset name says 'default', the actual settings aren't being reset to default and should be correct as per what was saved with the project. A rep from SoundToys said they are aiming to fix it so it shows the original preset name though.jue wrote:Hello,
