Copperhead Road by Steve Earle annoys me to no end. I turn off the radio if it comes on.

I love Just Buggin! :D

Anyway, mine is 'Young at Heart' by the Bluebells.

Dishonorable mentions go to 'Perfect' by Fairground Attraction, and ANYTHING by ABBA or Queen.
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

Fransje Bauer - Heb Je Even Voor Mij.
People outside The Neitherlands will probably not be affected by this one.
Except maybe the Germans (1). If this happens -if it hasn't already happened- I would like to apologise on behalf of all Dutch folks.
I mean, really.

Groet, Erik

(1) I would like to apologise for that Jantje Smit business, too.
I mean, really.

f**k yes! Worst offender has to be that 'we will rock you'. They took to playing it at Oldham's games last year before kick off... :x :x :x :x

They play that in various US sporting events, too. "Whoomp! There It Is" would be another one I can't stand.

"I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred.( Drop Dead Fred would be more like it )

anything off Whenever You Need Somebody by Rick Astley, come to think of it, ANYTHING that those guys Stock/Aitken/Waterman produced in the late eighties (I'm not blaming Rick, he was after all told by his masters to bellow out those sad weenie-rock lyrics over those riffs they stole and ineptly put together - "Walk Away Renee" shoehorned into "Strong Strong Man"? Where's my paper bag?) Thank goodness Nirvana and grunge wound up putting these guys out of business...

Dave Barry actually did a poll of his readership a few years ago and got a real earful of all sorts of bad songs, he even later put them all together in a book. Really opened my eyes to just how bad a lyricist Neil Diamond could be ("I am, I said/to no one there/and no one heard at all/not even the chair!" )
"Ooo, look at me, I'm making people HAPPY! I'm the Magical Man from Happyland! In a gumdrop house on Lollypop Laaaaaaane!" - Homer Simpson

"The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan", Marianne Faithful.

I got mad about it when I listened to it the first time, and even more on "Telma & Louise"; the only possible track for that ending.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

I can tell you now, football's not BLOODY coming home, okay?! :x :P

Achy Breaky Heart by um, whoever that cheeze country star was a few years back...

A close second to Just Say Sera Sera, also known as the theme from the Doris Day Show.
