Hi on both mac and pc there is a utility to allow you with a few clicks to copy your v4 library to your v5 location.
@whyterabbyt, please email dan at soundtoys with this bug.
Thanks

How is V5 compared with V4, CPU-wise? More power-hungry? My computer isn't a newer one but handles what I've got very well, but gotta ask.
And, can they also be individually launched as in version 4 or do they have to use the rack every time?

I have tried changing permissions for the various user settings on the hard drive last night still no luck.
Tried saving to another location with the same folder structure but in mydocumnets\username\sountoys\sountoys5\echoboy\user and got the message

Going to have to wait for support to get back to me and stick with the vstpreset workaround for the time being

I think they said the alterboy thing is inherent with its intelligent look-ahead pitch detection... it always has around 100 mS latency, which can be compensated for in the individual plug-in DAW PDC, but apparently the rack can't shift its reporting dynamically.zvenx wrote:Hi. None of them are appearing here, which would be okay except for the absence of Little AlterBoy which has no 'big' equivalent.
the Little ones don't appear.
Hopefully they are working on AlterBoy.

it's one thing to 'dissolve' the previous version in favour of the new, and it's one thing to release something very buggy and patchy, but it's a pretty unholy marriage to combine the two scenarios.

Makes perfect sense. A toy is something you play with .Some toys are for adults to play with - not children.jowen wrote: So soundtoys makes sense for you and or has a different meaning here?
Google "Adult toy" and "executive toy" to find examples of toys that are not for children.

Same for Radiator.
So the nice wood and 2nd activation costs only $29.
"Nice" charge SoundToys!

As a little chillout after a long day I finally tested Little Alter Boy which I had never used before, so here is a dirty Zebra Lead processed with the little boy, while doing that I noticed that the automation recording in Alter Boy in Logic 10.2 is totally borked, when turning the knobs on the fly it will record anything but not what I actually tweaked, the only way is to draw the automation with the pencil tool/mouse. Maybe it's Retina related, it happens on both my displays on Yosemite.

This is mostly correct, except that the latency of Little AlterBoy is roughly 60ms (not 100ms), but it does vary based on your session's sampling rate.antithesist wrote: I think they said the alterboy thing is inherent with its intelligent look-ahead pitch detection... it always has around 100 mS latency, which can be compensated for in the individual plug-in DAW PDC, but apparently the rack can't shift its reporting dynamically.
If DAWs allowed for dynamic re-reporting of latency, Little AlterBoy would have been included, but we didn't want our latency to be fixed at 60ms to make up for the possible presence of Little AlterBoy. We'll definitely keep looking into workarounds.

What's your case number? I have a few thoughts on what might be going on.MFXxx wrote:Hey zvenx is it worth emailing dan direct or via support. I've submitted 2 cases now ; (
