At first I thought whew, such a big list of plugs for such a short tune. But upon listening it is not crowded and moves onward on the path of experimentalism and classical orchestration....

Just discovered this.. Really nice juxtaposition of the classical and the weird.. Sounds rather oriental?

That sure is a huge gear list.. Makes most of my projects look quite small! I didn't catch many of the synths used - but also none stood out as severly out of place either. Bottom line: don't know how you mixed all that together but good job!
Yes, there is an oriental feel to the string sections melodies for sure - especially towards the end. The song as a whole definitely is soundtrack-ish, I just kept thinking what could this be a soundtrack to? What was in your mind's eye when you wrote it?
Small criticisms: strings are panned uncomfortably far left (but I'm on headphones), and there is some flanging/phasing on the strings thats distracting. Maybe an artifact of mp3 compression or perhaps over-limiting in mastering though.

but it was a great, enjoyable listening.

the orchestra doesn't sound fake, which is a great thing (so difficult to do, even with the bells-and-whistles kind of collections).

Thanks for the comments. The phase effect in the start was indended. Just a stereo panner on a synth sound layered behind the strings. The gear list is not impressive at all. Most of them are freebees. Wonderfull if the free stuff are sometimes better than the paid for stuff.
This is not the first song I've use Ian's synths and will definitely not be the last.
So why the finale of soundtracks? My next composition is already done in a more pure classical style. I've been learning new things lately composing in a different style. I've prooven to myself at least now I can do it. Now I'm not putting that behind me, but I want to really get into studying orchestration more. I'll be bored with that as soon as I prove to myself I can do it. And then move on some more.
F$ck, I'm talking a lot of crap now. Sounds like a man in a midlife crises. I'm too old for that crap, so, thanks for the good comments and thanks to Ian & Glenn for the great synths.
