Awesome. Sounds great. I linked you up on my FB page (https://goo.gl/JYBoR9).
A thing, though? The DUBturbo FB page that I have (https://www.facebook.com/DUBturbo-144242712278419/) doesn't seem to have been updated in four years. Is there another page?

Okay, actually, there seems to be a problem. If I load DrumTROOP into Reaper with only two outputs, I can only get one sound per kit to actually... sound. Specifically, the lower left -- C3 -- or equivalent, as the GUI changes per instrument.
Multitrack, no prob.
Win/64 version.
ETA: Never mind, not a glitch at all, just Reaper routing. I may never figure that sh!t out.

No, he asked us to pm him for previous limited giveaways on KVR so that he knew which version we wanted - mac/pc/32bit/64bit. But DrumTroop is free for everyone so just download what you want. The freebies, I believe, in this case aren't format dependant.Totolitoto wrote:Nice one, again
I liked your page
Do we have to PM you?
Cheers,
David
Well as DrumTROOP is free, anyone can download it. For the first 50 posters in this (KVR) thread there will be some freebies for DrumTROOP.Astralv wrote:Does it has limited number of downloads? IU was going to do it later tonight... been watching this thread since it was posted... Also not everybody visits KVR product page as your web site is more interesting. But I can visit KVR page too. I did not know it ranks based on statistics. Also statistics update at the end of the day, week or what ever, so you may not know right away that we visited...Glad it's being accepted well, no sales yet on the expansions but the freebie install/20kits are going fast!
As for the sharing and liking, as thanks some of us will do this and spread the word. If it spreads well, he'll probably continue with this strategy. If it yields few extra hits, Norbz might try a different approach next time.

Awesome, shared on FB!
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

Thanks guys, and thanks Bob Bobwood all of that is correct.
@filkerton - we don't have a FB page that is from the affiliate days I should have clarified to simply press the like button on the top right of the website vs any groups/fb pages. Yeah glad you figured out the multi's.
@zxant - you're good don't worry.
@glitchDoctor - yep re 16 going to their own outs. GM won't really work here it's a custom setup but you can send outputs 14-15-16 to stuff easier as that's where the spanned sounds sit. That goes for the 16out, the 4 out has 4 sounds spanned so depending on what you're trying to achieve one of the two options might be good for you (I'm assuming it's to mess with existing midi files, and if so you'll have to arrange them to match our setup re drum placements and melodies on sounds).
@msorrels - I may actually be converting the other VSTi's to expansions for this however if I don't yeah I still want to update them and will in time.
Well I've had a rude awakening with this - the freemium model is definitely different, and probably the last time I'll do things this way. Great test and good to see the downloads flying however the add-ons and extra samples (even if just buying it for the .wav files not the plugin use) are not budging, I've even left some pricepoints low on a few expansions just to see, 1000+ unique hits and no sales is a horrible conversion rate (which is usually 1-2% so I would usually make 10-20 sales per 1000 hits at minimum, and 3-5% on the highend). Crazy.
By days end today I'll be delivering all the surprise bags to everyone.
A little discouraged but if you don't play you can't win, and can't win them all so I'm about to take a big break from all this, 2 months and a few K gone and I feel a bit blahhhhh. OR I'm just being impatient and the freemium model needs time to get people using it and wanting more sounds (I'm doubtful though based on my experience in the market).
Anyway, the tool itself is still kickass imo, and the .wav files that come with expansions are still new to market and fresh so hopefully she still gets used and enjoyed at the free level if nobody grabs the expansions ever.. I might even just make them all $5 or something as I can't see all this work going to waste and nobody using the sounds... Reading this back it sounds like I'm whining so I'll end this off by saying I'm still a happy go lucky music biz owner and this was a really cool experience to go through as another practice run to relaunching dub4.
Thanks everyone.

Regardless of the giveaway, I posted it on FB to spread the word. It really looks and feels good, plus I appreciate all the effort that went into it.Norbz wrote: Anyway, the tool itself is still kickass imo, and the .wav files that come with expansions are still new to market and fresh so hopefully she still gets used and enjoyed at the free level if nobody grabs the expansions ever..
I mean:
- Free as in free beer
- Plus 20 initial kits
- 64 bit
- Reasonable priced expansion kits
Can't find anything to argue with to be honest

Discovered it today and have to say that this one sounds really good. Nice sample quality and funny idea with those xtra sounds on CH14, 15 and the other ones. Lets see what I come up with.

Forgot to mention that I shared it via Twitter (and also mentioned your Expansionpacks)
. I had a listen to the demos and I have to say that they sound really good (honestly). No BS.

I was hopeful when I released my first artist album. I thought I would get a record deal because my music was better than many signed acts of that time. Nothing happened. 15 years later- still making music. Many thousands of dollars spent on the electronic equipment and software. No big deal. This is because I do what makes me happy and keeps depression away.Well I've had a rude awakening with this - the freemium model is definitely different, and probably the last time I'll do things this way. Regarding your effort... There are several considerations: first of all- we just got the plugin. I, for example, have at least 5 other full functional plugins with many expansions that I never listened. I like your plugin- it looks good on a picture, but I did not get to try it because- well- I have a day job. May be on a weekend. It would have to improve my workflow and be better than many other plugins for me to need more expansions. But do not get discouraged. I buy new instruments or sounds every week. (This is why I have a day job). So give it a time. I personally dont know you, there is an element of trust- after all- I have to give my credit card number out or what ever payments you accept...
Now if I could make few requests...
1). Would be great if your plug in was compatible with IK Multimedia iRig hardware. It looks just like it. It can be programmed to have different or the same MIDI channels on each pad. But could be nice to use with your plugin.
2) Have you tested it with Maschine (Native Instruments)? This could be very good sale point. Also I dont think Maschine pads can output to different MIDI channels at the same time.
3). Can you offer Dubstep type of sounds? I would like easy way to load multiple samples in to the pads, but not Drum samples. Right now I have to assign sounds to different MIDI channels but if I could just load bunch of them and play off my iRig controller, I could make instantaneous Dubstep. If it already can do it- great- I did not have chance to use it. But do not limit yourself to drums sounds.
Looking forward to more stuff from you. Thanks.

Thanks Norbz ...! . .
BTW. Your site works with an -unknown- payments processor and I'm used to do transactions via PayPal ...
And I usually don't go for expansions immediately too. It can take months (or even years) for I decide to expand (just a low income amateur hobbyist
Regardless what you decide, it sure was very nice of you to do it this way ...
Peace!
