We Are the World, by some songwriter and everyone they could possibly drag into a studio to record endless vocal tracks, as if stacking a cheese sandwhich ENDLESSLY high with cheese would make it a more valuable contribution to human culture. :help:

Post

we are the world: Written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. I only know this because it was on a game show last night
Play it by ear

Well, I already am ready for Mr Jackson to suffer a sudden, horrible death, and I guess Mr Richie isn't winning any brownie points from me for that one.

Post

In keeping with Lionel Richie and "I am I said".

Say you, say me makes me want to hurt myself.

But I guess that's the way it should be.

Dammit, now that song is stuck in my head.

Baryshnikov's going to be dancing in my dreams tonight (for those of you who remember the video, you know what I mean).

Say it for always, naturally.

We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

I truly love the original Dolly Parton version, though. And the duet with Vince Gill was great, too.

I'd have to say anything by Celine Dion.

Aaarrrrgggghhhhh.

Anything disco is a close second, but even that is better than Celine.

It is by Phil Collins and it sometimes wakes me up in the morning on the clock radio. Talk about a bad way to start the day. It is a very slow and nausiating piece and although I can't remember the name right now I think I am actually pretty happy with that.

I have many, but Robbie Williams' "Angels" is in the top ten. I dare say it's a reasonably good song, but in the hands of that insipid, talentless chancer, it sounds insincere, manipulative and, well... annoying :?

I should temper this by saying that I hate Robbie Williams an awful lot more than is probably healthy :hihi:

Post

Oh shit, I thought about it.

I can feel it comin in the air tonight.

That horrible song from Tatu..

It was great seeing a commercial cash-in on barely legal lesbianism, but I was even more pleased when I saw a write-up where they said 'We don't wanna be gay anymore & can't stand each other..'

:D

Not to mention the mutilated english in that song :help:

It sounded like I was listening to a couple of horny Octopae trying to seduce thier way out of a fish tank..gurgles & all..
