Hi y'all,

So I was trying out the demo of ReValver 4 and I found that if I fed it with a stereo audio, it always came out mono. I made sure the mono button on the input is off and all the module (only the RIR 2 actually) was set to "Run in Stereo."

So what did I do wrong? I do NOT want to have two instances of ReValver because it brings huge inconvenience, i.e. I have to tweak both of the instance when I'm changing the tone. With POD Farm or ReCabinet I can just tweak on one instance.

It would be mind-blowing if ReValver 4 actually don't support stereo DI processing since all the other major amp sims, like POD Farm and TSE, do support it.

Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks!

The Revalver 4 amps do not process in stereo. So yes, you'll have to use two instances. This was a huge step back from Revalver 3.5.

Oh my goodness I cannot believe this. Such a HUGE bummer! But thanks for answering!

Try Turning off Mono button on Input > Vu meter panel, then right click on amp module and pick "run in stereo" then make the same pick on cab module.

Nice. I thought there was stereo hidden away (like most things in Revalver, no complaints though). I just found that zero-ing out everything internal in the RIR model gets rid of the tonal problems of some 3rd party IR's. It's mainly the speaker interaction that can sound "pumpy." Oh, and I changed the threshold from -48 to -64.

Add on: in your amp (right click) you can also change Impedance algorithm to 0. This along with the changes to the RIR module goes a long way.

From what I remember when I tried this, it didn't make R4 amps run in stereo. Even the developers themselves admit that the amps don't process in stereo because it's more realistic.

AFAIK the amps themselves are mono only, but the plugin can work in stereo mode. So you need to build a stereo rig with several amps.
