Hi Oleg, I can't manage to get it running since I have FL Studio 12. Are you aware it won't work in the latest FL Studio? It loads, but i can't get it connected with a VST plugin. I've tried various MIDI ports without results... Something is working different in FL Studio 12 these days...
Thanks for the help!

That's weird, I can use BlueArp in FL12 without any problems.LexDV wrote:Hi Oleg, I can't manage to get it running since I have FL Studio 12. Are you aware it won't work in the latest FL Studio? The method hasn't changed from FL11, really. You just add BlueARP and any VSTi synth as an instrument channel, go to the wrapper settings on BlueARP, set MIDI output to any port, then do the same with the synth with the input port.LexDV wrote:fischkopf wrote:That's weird, I can use BlueArp in FL12 without any problems.LexDV wrote:Hi Oleg, I can't manage to get it running since I have FL Studio 12. Finally got it working. You also have to set a MIDI in for BlueARP, so your keyboard can give some input. And I can only add BluaArp as an instrumental VST with a detour, not from the menu on the left... Now I have to replace an excisting VST with BlueArp by rightclick/replace/more plugins.

Hi. I'll consider this (adding another MIDI output). I'm not sure about AU, but it's not impossible. I use WDL-OL (with some modifications made already though), and it can also compile my project as AU (along with VST3 and some other formats). The issue is AU SDK is not freely downloadable, you need to register to apple somehow etc. I'm not a mac/apple guy so I know nothing about this stuff.Dewdman42 wrote:Please consider adding virtual midi port output from BlueArp, so that it can be used in Logic Pro inside a VST wrapper. Logic currently does not allow anyway to get the midi output from AU's and if you wrap a VST, it will work, but the midi out is still ignored by Logic. however, if blueArp, as a VST, could send the midi to an IAC port (optionally), then we can easily run this VST in logic and get the functionality, using one of many different wrappers.
Of course if you ever decide to make AU, make sure to also compile as AU-mfx then it can directly used in Logic and Mainstage midi fx slot, but that's dreaming.
Hey, wait... I just tried to compile AU under OSX and it at least it tries to compile! I mean it doest say about missimg headres, etc. Of course it gives around 50 errors cause I never cared about it. But I'll look more closely, maybe compiling BlueARP as AU is not that far away as I expected.

All Just some notes on my progress. Last weekend a couple of hours and this weekend - I'm making new youtube video and started to add 'polyphonic steps' functionality. The first thing I'll do is to make 'OCTAVE' bar polyphonic, it will allow to create wide gated chords with one hand. Next will be polyphonic KEY SELECT. I think it will take another couple of weeks to make a release.
Also, found and fixed a weird bug with pattern chains - sometimes it severely crashes on them (endless loop in pattern chain logic).

phreaque, thank you for your continious support )
Great news for OSX/Logic guys - I'm already halfway there compiling BlueARP AU (audio unit) version.
I already have all the basic things running, there are still some issues with saving presets, but it's all manageable.
I'm so ecxiced, what I thought to be a hassle turned out to be much much simplee (thank you Oli Larkin for making WDL-OL so well thought-out and organised).
So AU release looks more than possible - just in 1-2 weeks.

Some notes on my progress.
Around 70% finished with 'polyphinic OCTAVE bar' feature. Now performing some musical tests, and yet have to make GUI control to switch it on and off. Looks sonically useful, I can play deadmau5 style chords with one hand, and it automatically adds -1 and -2 octave keys to root key in a chord. Will likely create a quick youtube demo.

While BlueARP v.2.16 is on the way (will likely upload tonight),
here's the tutorial on new OCTAVE polyphonic feature:
Another musical demo of the same stuff, FL studio project included!

Update: BlueARP v2.16
Windows VST version (both x86 and x64):
http://www.graywolf2004.net/files/2/Blu ... _v2.16.zip
OSX VST version (x86_64 universal binary)
http://www.graywolf2004.net/files/2/Blu ... _v2.16.zip
Changes:
1. New 'polyphonic OCTAVE' feature, see tutorial in previous post. It's not yet reflected in the manual.
2. Fixed some bugs in chains logic
3. Updated manual
4. For OSX, better indtallation package, now you need to take just 'BlueARP.vst' to your VST directory,
all necessary files are incorporated into vst package
There are new (P) or (B) marks next to many controls. They tell is this parameter is program-related (P) or bank-related (B).
