When auto sampling Bliss using NI Kontakt as the source it would finish the auto sampling, off load the plugin ( Kontakt) and you would see no sign of any samples in the sample edit or be able to move any controls. You could save and name, close bliss, reopen and load in the saved patch and all would be there.
Can you show me how the drag and drop in Bitwig 1.2 on a Mac works , I have been unable to do it . I get the arrow and plus sign but when I drag that to an arrange track nothing.

I've seen that too - I think that is is "just" a GUI refresh problem. I just close the Sample Editor and re-open it.

What is a "tick" in the LFO Rate when you set the mode to SYNC? It is intended to be a conventional MIDI tick (as in, for example, 960 ticks per quarter-beat?)
And the meaning of "Ticks/s" in the Sample Editor Tempo Sync?
(I have emailed George but I guess he is taking a well-earned week-end off).

Also has anyone noticed that the root note is wrong its says c-5 when it should read c-3 to be correct.

As for the note names: the range is C-0 to B-9, so C-5 is MIDI Note 60, halfway through. I've raised an FR asking for:
(a) those dashes/hyphens to be removed from the note names,
(b) all 128 note names to be available,
(c) an option to set the note name range (I would prefer C-2 to G8, to match conventions used in my other instruments and DAW)

If you have a 2 bar loop and then turn the sync on it needs to set to 64 for accurate playback to the DAWs host tempo, you can then set divisions of this if you want for faster or slower playback. This is not an official explanation just what I have discovered. Using this logic a tick is an 8th note which I think correlates to delay times lfo etc.DarkStar wrote:^^^

I get the note names now, agreed should reflect midi note name convention in DAWs.

OK, I've done some organised experimenting.
I added a 120 bpm 1-bar loop; its root note was set at C-5 (C3 in my terminology).
With Tempo Sync Off:
-- C3 plays the sample at its orignal speed (1 bar)
-- C4 plays the sample at double its original speed (0.5 bars)
-- C2 plays the sample at half its original speed (2 bars)
With Tempo Sync On:
-- set to 16, C3 plays the sample at its original speed (1 bar)
-- set to 32, C3 plays the sample at half its original speed (2 bars)
-- set to 64, C3 plays the sample at quarter its original speed (4 bars)
-- set to 16, C4 plays the sample at double its original speed (0.5 bars)
-- set to 32, C4 plays the sample at its original speed (1 bar)
-- set to 64, C4 plays the sample at half its original speed (2 bars)
-- set to 16, C2 plays the sample at half its original speed (2 bars)
-- set to 32, C2 plays the sample at quarter its original speed (4 bars)
-- set to 64, C2 plays the sample at one-eighth its original speed (8 bars)

So the Tempo Sync value sets the playback length of the sample when played at its root key note. Higher notes in the zone's range will shorten the playback time in proportion and lower notes will lengthen it. Any length change will change the pitch too.
As confirmation, for a 2-bar loop, a Tempo Sync setting of 32 will result in C3 playing the sample back at its original speed (as will a setting of 64 for C4 or 16 for C2).
From all of this a Bliss tick is 1/16 of a bar.
Phew! Now that I understand it is is simple.

Bliss doesn't open certain files altogether with newest beta for me. Just loads for awhile then nothing happens
