Also, he still has his Bazille soundset up for pre-order on his blog. He didn't seem to be a guy that just would leave this up and taking the money without delivering the product.
As I said, I don't know more than anyone else, but it seems like something bad has happened to him.

Yesterday I visited this profile. So someone did cancel it today. It had the same profile pic as other accounts and the pic of the window. Because I don't know the guy I decided to follow their actions and not to post about it. I didn't take screenshots either.
I'd say the guy is pretty much alive but avoids any contact. My 2c.
Edit: weird I clicked that link several times. I went through my browser history and it said 'unknown user'.

Whyterabbyt has already given you the most plausible answer for that - site issues.
Unless you have some definite information about Dennis's whereabouts, then I fail to see what further speculation and posturing will bring to this sad thread, which I started approximately 15 months ago.
