So true. It's not even about the money, because Logic is cheap for a DAW and for that price you get Alchemy too. A bargain really. It's just that I'm happy with Bitwig and I'm not going to switch to Logic just to get the new Alchemy.BDeep wrote:Yeah well, even a Mac won't do you no good when you're not switching to Logic.
Many Mac users who use other hosts are left just as much in the cold as windows users.
Why does no one do an Alchemy alternative?

Yeah, still have the original installation disk too...FrettedSynth wrote:This is what I thought happened but who knows? Disappeared awfully fast.ThomasHelzle wrote: There were even rumours of Apple buying BeOS as their next OS after OS9...
Still have a box version on my shelf, wanted to support BeOS so I bought it the first day it was online for sale. Had Sync modular running with quite low latency with the stock soundcard.
Shame it was lost
One of the biggest disappointments as far as IT is concerned.
There still is some kind of BeOS under a different name but it's just as obscure now as running Amiga OS.
No, Apple looked at BeOS but then decided for Steve Jobs NEXT as a basis https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NeXT
Cheers,

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.
