I'm thinking of downsizing my rig a touch - I have a Delta 1010 which is great, but I have never used more than 2 in, 2 out on it. I need to raise some dosh for a laptop and I'm thinking of flogging it for something a bit more modest, which I could potentially use with the laptop as well. So I'm thinking of a USB or FW interface, and limiting it to what I need - stereo in, stereo out etc, not needing more than 44.1kHz.

Any advice or experience of these things is gladly received. The obvious choice I suppose is the Audiophile USB or audiophile FW (which would mean I could flog the Audio Buddy as well). But is there anything else? Bear in mind I have to sell the 1010, buy this and have lots of leftovers

my mate uses one of those Edirol UA1 things. (with his desktop :? ) and he's had no problems with it.
Seems to be cheap too.

there's a few other Edirol options here

would imagine that you can't go wrong with a Roland product.
