As ACE costs €69 I would think that if BeatZille was sold as a straight plug, it would cost €49

Maybe not the best ever magware, I think Firebird still is the top dog there, but BeatZille is most def luxurious magware

It is these kind of gems that makes it worthwhile to subscribe :tu:

That is included, but as part of the Beat Studio, I think it has been on every DVD during the last year

Brilliant! Cheers for the info! :tu:

If Geist LE is the same thing as Geist Lite then you can download it as part of the EDM Inferno sample pack:

It is.

Do you build qtractor yourself from source? I've noticed that the version from the repo (ubuntu 14 LTS) is some versions behind.

There´s no need to, using opensuse and the builds of Giordano Boschetti, which are actualized nearly daily.
Also Rui Nuno Capela himself (the author of qtractor) is building packages for opensuse.

Will BeatZille linux version work in Ardour ?

BTW, as BeatZille patches will work in Bazille, those owning Bazille can download the Beat Linux version, and just extract the paches out of that zip if they want to try the patches in Bazille

Yes, BeatZille works in Ardour. Tested with Ardour 4.2 which is the current (outdated) version for Arch Linux.

I was not able to resize BeatZille's GUI to 150% in Ardour but resizing worked in QTractor. So this seems to be an issue on the side of Ardour which might be fixed in the current version 4.4.

I'm getting a crash when right-mouse-clicking into the oscilloscope window.
Ardour 3 from ubuntu 14.04 (64 bit).
Edit: Also crashing in Ardour 4.4

Linux users with nvidia video, the official nvidia driver will likely
be better than the other options, especially with commercial plugins.
This was my experience using qtractor and bitwig, both of which have
greatly improved their linux vst support.

You might google your kernel version and distro with nvidia, to see if any
caveats pop up.

Is there one more opening on the Christmas party list?

I recall playing some nice presets made by 'the unshushable Coktor'.
For TyrellN6, as I recall. Nice that you're on the U-he team.

I have used the alien command to convert qtractor packages between
.deb and .rpm, on several releases this past year, with no apparent issues.
