I'm not famous because I refuse to use autotune and I really, really, really need it bad.

I'm completely convinced that talent isn't particularly rare. The combination of determination, discipline, boneheadedness, courage, charisma, willingness to self-promote/whore oneself out, luck, and good (or at least interesting) looks it takes to become famous is a bit more rare.
I'm talented but lazy, shy, weird-looking, awkward and cowardly. And I have a decent-paying job of the sort that will keep me comfortable but never leads to fame. But I'll happily win the lottery so I don't have to do it anymore.

What I find more interesting and amusing is the lack of comments from certain KVR "personalities" who are so full of themselves and take their talent or lack of it too seriously.

Agreed, though i would say that real talent is pretty rare, and in most cases a necessity to get to the absolute top.foosnark wrote:I'm completely convinced that talent isn't particularly rare. That's because we're already famous.Karma_tba wrote:What I find more interesting and amusing is the lack of comments from certain KVR "personalities" who are so full of themselves and take their talent or lack of it too seriously.

Maybe its just my own lack of ego, but I've never understood why fame is considered a desirable trait. Wealth, yes, but why is it important to be known to others?

Count me in
Also I believe it works the other way - being famous makes you rich. Even if millions of people in the world find you idiot and loser, you still get recognition from customers, sponsors and others.
I want the people to know my music. There is no point in making music if no one listens to it, right?Maybe its just my own lack of ego, but I've never understood why fame is considered a desirable trait. Wealth, yes, but why is it important to be known to others?
